Comments: Had a great Christmas with my girls in the Big Apple, did events in 4 out of 5 boroughs! Saw 4 movies American Hustle # 1, Skyfall # 2 at my daughters, Bernie# 3 also at daughters have to be from the South to appreciate, Lone Wolf of WallStreet # 4 ,would rate it lower but only saw 4 movies. It is 3 hours of F word , gratitious sex and drugs with about 20 minutes of story. All the characters are/were scummy individuals with no redeeming values. I wanted bad things to happen to all of them! De Caprio plays a great scuz ball!
Comments: Hope all of your had a great holiday. I sure did. It is wonderful having a five year old granddaughter at Christmas time. Bill and I love to look at Christmas lights every year. Comments: Dr. Phil Berry offices are at Methodist Hospital.He is the very best. He is the doctor who just did the surgery for Dan Rose. He is also a friend and lived in my neighborhood in Oak Cliff and goes to Cliff Temple Baptist Church. I would trust him with my life. I do not know if he is taking new patients however.
Comments: I know what you mean about the charming demeanor of some orthopedists, having worked for a couple of them for ten years. My friend Lyla worked for them her whole career, and I've emailed her to ask who she would recommend for a total hip consultation at the Carrell Clinic. Good luck to you! I hope all goes well.
Comments: Dear All: Six months ago, I met my new Orthopedist. He told me then -- in that charming way that only doctors have -- that if I lived long enough, I would need hip replacement surgery on the right side. Well, I guess the good news is that I've lived long enough, as now he is telling me that I need it sooner, rather than later. If any of you have any knowledge/experience regarding hip replacements or know of a good hip specialist in DFW -- for my second opinion -- please email me. Thanks and Happy New Year! Yours, Phyllis
Comments: Hello, Everyone! Hope your Christmas Day was as amazing as ours has been. We met the family in Corsicana and had dinner at the La Pradera restaurant. which has a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas feast. We have had so much sickness and no one person was able to do everything, so we pooled our resources and has a lovely time! We had twenty-five present and the food was very good. I read the post from David Stewart and was so glad he connected with the class. I remember David as a wonderful young man. He was also in the Square Dance Group at Elisha M. Pease when we were there. Brenda Brown Kemp, Linda Nichols, and several others were also members of the group. I can remember the red gingham check dresses and those scratchy petticoats. So sorry you missed our 50th high school reunion as we did not have your address. Glad you found us. Come join us some time. We will have a 70th birthday party in 2 years. I have finished my cornbread dressing, squash casserole, pea salad, deviled eggs, baked cookies and toffee yesterday. Now I am getting ready to head to McKinney to spend Christmas Eve with Cathy, my sister in law, Alicia - niece and Dante - nephew and their spouses, great niece Arabella and great nephew Jae. Christmas Day at my house with my other nephew Michael and great niece Ashley, and his family, Rodger and my mother. We are brining her her tomorrow. Please pray she will make it and last for a little while at least. I am excited. Just had to wish my SOC buddies a very Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday Jesus!

Are you still in the Houston area? I'm in The Woodlands (since 1995). Last I heard about Judy McGowan is that she landed in Maryland. If you want her contact info, email me at the blue link in the upper right corner. Too bad you no longer have your Yearbooks (neither does Peaches). If you did then you could consult them and look me up. Amazingly, I look EXACTLY the same as in 1963. Ask anyone.

Comments: Been a long time folks. Lots of memories come to mind - and regrettably lots of memories lost in the process as well. I certainly remember Peaches - we were in classes as far back as E M Pease, along with Annette Cross. I am sure Annette does not remember me, but we were confirmed into the Episcopal church together. Peaches as I recall you were a cheer leader at SOC? I used to have albums but they were lost in floods, moves, and so on over the years. So if anyone remembers me I would certainly like to hear from you and perhaps we can bring each other up to date. By the way, does any one know Judy McGowan ? Thanks David

Comments: Miss Loraine certainly is a special person. Take her a bite of cake to taste. Nothing wrong with the taster! My cousin is also 92, as is a friend I have lunch with once a week. Both my 92 year olds are with it?
Comments: My mother, Loraine will be 92 tomorrow. I love this woman so much! Her nurse will call me tomorrow so I can sing happy birthday to her. I have always called her first thing in the morning of her birthday to sing to her. She is such a very very special person. Since she is on the feeding tube I cannot get her a cake or anything food wise. She really does not need anything. She told me all she wanted was for me to be with her which, of course, I will. She never complains. I was so blessed to have such a special mother who has become my best friend through the years.

Comments: Last night I had a brief phone conversation with Danny Green. He sounded a little exhausted but was in good spirits with a good attitude. His recent stroke has affected his left side - primarily his ability to use his left hand. He has begun rehab and hopes to be back up to speed in a few months. He feels fortunate that the stroke did not affect his ability to walk. He mentioned having some difficulty swallowing liquids. Danny is experiencing chest pains and has been wearing a heart monitor. Early tests indicate that perhaps 30% of his heart may be damaged. He is scheduled soon for a stress test and further observation. He was sorry to have missed the SOC Christmas party.
Comments: The photos came out beautiful Lynell. Thanks for faithfully taking photos along with Lonnie to retain good times for our memories. Peaches' home is always charming and the hostesses do a great job on the food along with contributions by those that attend. A special time for all!
