Comments: Thanks, Peaches. Your CD is ready to return, but I totally forgot. I'll keep it safe and will get it to you.
Comments: Thanks, Lynell for posting our pictures.
Comments: Just looked at the pictures and now I'm really sorry that I couldn't be at the party. There were several people that I haven't seen in a long time and would liked to have visited with. Looks like everyone had a great time.
Comments: P.S. Peaches, the first CD was not in today's mail either. I wonder where it went.
Comments: With gratitude to Lonnie Harmon for taking and wrangling the pictures, and to Peaches for dropping the CD at our house today. His photos are now up on the Images page. Just click the button. Thanks, you two!
Comments: Peaches, still no CD in the mail. However, did receive a couple of things that will require hours with various CS departments. Lucky me. Maybe maƱana.
Comments: Lonnie sent two copies of to me. I mailed Monday. I checked the address twice and even put more postage than required. It was in a padded envelope. It has not been returned to me either. Lynell, I will call and see if I can drop my copy by your house.
Comments: Piney express would have them there too now.
Comments: Oh yes! Hooey was in my family too. Pshaw and Well I declaya (declare) were my Louisiana grandmothers's expletives. I know there are many more I can't think of at the moment. Sounds like a fun time at the party Peaches. How did Lonnie send those pics? Even piney express would be there by now. :-)
Comments: Still nada in the mailbox today.
Comments: Charlotte, my aunt would have said those hopes were a bunch of hooey. I'm not sure what hooey is, but I used to hear about it. Had not thought about that term in years. Anybody else come from a family with quaint expressions? I say quaint only because I went to charm school.
Comments: The postman is taking his sweet time getting that CD with the party pics here! Funny, he has no problem delivering bills. Ha!
Comments: We had 57 paid guests but only 48 showed. The weather kept a few away, sickness kept two others away. I, for one, enjoyed the smaller numbers. I actually got to visit with each and every one of you. The food was very good. The cakes were kahlua chocolate and amaretta white cakes. I took two pieces and they were so delicious! Turing is not so bad!
Comments: What is with my hopes?????? Haaaaaaaa
Comments: Hi Sharon, I didn't get to go to the bday party either. I had house guests. I've seen the pics on FB and it looks like a grand time. Couldn't tell how many attended, but the decorations were pretty and the cakes looked good. Hooe you get to see the photos soon. Haven't been over here in a while. Hooe everyone is doing well.
Comments: Everything takes time, Sharon. I received the CD from Lonnie over the weekend. I mailed it to Lynell yesterday. It will take her time also. Lonnie, already put them on Facebook right after the party. We had a great time! Lots of time for visiting and fantastic food. Missed several of you regulars.
Comments: Where is everyone? I want to hear about the birthday party and see some pictures.
Comments: Thanks to Peaches and everyone who came to the party. It was a fun time. Happy birthday J.V. we miss you.
Comments: Geeze. I thought when I added that impossible-to-read group of letters to type before posting, it would get rid of those clowns. It has only deterred 90% of them.
Comments: Spam strikes again!
Comments: Lynell, his hair is gray as most of us and I guess he would be at least six feet tall. I'm going to get my Den out when I get home.
Comments: Sharon, what fun. You two must chat and catch up. Can't believe you've been neighbors so long! Does he have blond hair? I seem t remember a tall thin blond boy named Charles Billings.
Comments: Hey. Does anyone remember a Charles Billings from '62? I didn't until this morning. We have officed down the hall from each other for 5 or 6 years, said hi to each other and made small talk. He's an attorney and this morning I complimented him on his tie and he said he had a hearing in Oak Cliff close to Methodist Hospital on Colorado. Of course, I said I knew exactly where he was going since I grew up in Oak Cliff. He looked at me and asked that fateful question, "where did you go to school?" And I said SOC '63 to which he replied, '62! It really is a small world. He said he'd come to my office and we'd have to catch up.p3ug7
Comments: OK folks! I will be at the birthday party taking photos of you beautiful SOC '63 folks. I would appreciate it if you would be on your worst behavior! We only go around once, let's make it count and have a lot of fun!!! I will be at the front with Peaches when you arrive and will start shooting you at that time. I will also be shooting throughout the evening. As many of you already know I am pretty sneaky with a camera! This party animal will be counting on you!! Remember you are only 18 in a 70 package!! If you have not signed up you will be missing the party of a lifetime!!
Comments: So glad to hear positive news about Martha, definately more prayers going up. Thanks for the update Peaches!
Comments: Martha posted on facebook this week that all cancers had shrunk. She will be seeing her doctor this week and decide what to do next. Keep those prayers please. She looks great and goes out to eat alot. However, she gets tired very quickly.
Comments: Has anyone heard any news on Martha Bass Hunt's condition? There has been no news on her special website since July 14th and I am concerned.
Comments: 36 as of Saturday. Very slow response. We average around 70 or so for our birthday party. Please if you are planning on coming get your money in this week. I need to know who is coming. I have the hotel rate cut off extended to this Friday. If you plan on staying at the hotel call by Friday if you want the $105.00 rate.
Comments: Peaches.. How many have said they are coming to 70th bd...?
Comments: Just letting you know Peaches, Gary and I will not be making the Birthday Bash. Wishing all of you a happy 70th. |
