Comments: We have 63 rsvp for our SOC Annual Christmas party at my house this Sunday. Lots of good food, laughter, huging and good time together. We have been having these since 2003.
Comments: Also late, sorry I missed 70th. I registered and had a room at Omni. Weather was so bad , Houston to Dallas didn't seem like a good plan. Nice job on photos
Comments: My hope is that all SOCites had a safe and pleasant holiday, whether cooking for a crowd, standing line at Lubys, or having a peanut butter sandwich at home. We have so much to be thankful for, including our friends from SOC. Be safe, everyone.

Comments: A little late but still wanted to thank everyone for another wonderful event at our 70th birthday party. Was so good to see everyone that came and missed those that couldn't make it....now looking forward to our Christmas event at Peaches' house...always a good time!!

Comments: Just looked at the pictures and now I'm really sorry that I couldn't be at the party. There were several people that I haven't seen in a long time and would liked to have visited with. Looks like everyone had a great time.

Comments: Peaches, still no CD in the mail. However, did receive a couple of things that will require hours with various CS departments. Lucky me. Maybe mañana.
Comments: Lonnie sent two copies of to me. I mailed Monday. I checked the address twice and even put more postage than required. It was in a padded envelope. It has not been returned to me either. Lynell, I will call and see if I can drop my copy by your house.

Comments: Oh yes! Hooey was in my family too. Pshaw and Well I declaya (declare) were my Louisiana grandmothers's expletives. I know there are many more I can't think of at the moment. Sounds like a fun time at the party Peaches. How did Lonnie send those pics? Even piney express would be there by now. :-)

Comments: Charlotte, my aunt would have said those hopes were a bunch of hooey. I'm not sure what hooey is, but I used to hear about it. Had not thought about that term in years. Anybody else come from a family with quaint expressions? I say quaint only because I went to charm school.
Comments: The postman is taking his sweet time getting that CD with the party pics here! Funny, he has no problem delivering bills. Ha!
Comments: We had 57 paid guests but only 48 showed. The weather kept a few away, sickness kept two others away. I, for one, enjoyed the smaller numbers. I actually got to visit with each and every one of you. The food was very good. The cakes were kahlua chocolate and amaretta white cakes. I took two pieces and they were so delicious! Turing is not so bad!

Comments: Hi Sharon, I didn't get to go to the bday party either. I had house guests. I've seen the pics on FB and it looks like a grand time. Couldn't tell how many attended, but the decorations were pretty and the cakes looked good. Hooe you get to see the photos soon. Haven't been over here in a while. Hooe everyone is doing well.
Comments: Everything takes time, Sharon. I received the CD from Lonnie over the weekend. I mailed it to Lynell yesterday. It will take her time also. Lonnie, already put them on Facebook right after the party. We had a great time! Lots of time for visiting and fantastic food. Missed several of you regulars.
