Comments: Phil, so do I, my friend!
Comments: Lynell, I wish I could revert to some date years ago!
Comments: Sharon, I admired that margarita from across the table. It looked delicious. Tequila doesn't seem to be my amigo.
Comments: Thanks to Peaches and Mary Kay for a great shindig. I thought about that margarita for a week. It was so good to see everyone and, yes, we are a good-looking group. I took half of my sour cream, chicken enchilada plate home and ordered a beef pepper for Steve. They ate every bite. So they got to enjoy also. Thanks, Charlotte, you made my day! Can't wait until the December Christmas party.
Comments: Tanya, every time we have a power failure, I have to reset the clock on my computer. The clock will revert to some date years ago, and then my computer won't let me on any websites. Took me forever to figure out the problem.
Comments: Lynell, thanks for the info. I can only get on in this guestbook if I put in Guestbook SOC 63, as I have the Kapersky Virus Scanner on my computer and it will not allow me access to the SOC 63 site in general. I am on WiFI here in the country, no AOL or Satellite Direct as before so maybe that has something to do with it. The Kapersky will not allow me to open the site up. On my IPhone, I can open the site up fine, but it still shows the old image page. I'll just have to remember all you guys/girls as you have always been, pretty and handsome. Thanks for the note.
Comments: Had a really great time and enjoyed all the good company. Thank you Lynell and Lonnie for the pictures!!
Comments: BTW...SHARON REEVES do you ever age???
Comments: You all look wonderful. I know it was fun!! Thanks for posting the Photos Lynell.
Comments: Great photos of a wonderful event. Thanks for creating the photo memories Lynell! Thanks to Peaches and Mary Kay for hosting the event.
Comments: Kathleen, they have name tags. Maybe you can zoom in and see some of them. I think we need heavy black markers for these things! I didn't put names on the pictures because unfortunately I don't know some of the people from other classes either, Tanya, I think your computer goes to an older version of the website. I'm not sure how to fix it, but it used to happen to me when I used AOL. I don't know if that's what you use.
Comments: Guess it is on my end, last image listed on Images shows December luncheon 2013. Can only access from cell phone as computer will not let me access due to my virus scanner.
Comments: Lynell. you are so right they are a good looking group. Is there some way of identifying who we are viewing? I especially am having trouble if they are from another class other than '63. I thought my fellow classmates from the '63 class looked especially youthful.
Comments: Class of "59"
Comments: Anybody on here know John Allison , class of 62, if so, tell him to get hold of me, been trying to find him. Thanks Leon My E-Mail has change to : greenleon40@yahoo.com
Comments: What a fantastic event! Thank you, Mary Kay and Peaches, for setting up today's luncheon at El Fenix. It was nice to see everyone.Boy,were we a rowdy bunch, and the crew at the El, as we call it at our house because we are frequent flyers, did an excellent job as usual. David and I had a grand time! The pictures I took are now on the Images page. (Need I say, we are also a fine looking bunch?) If anyone took pictures they would like to add, please email them to me and I'll add 'em. If you couldn't make it, I'm sorry. Old friends are golden, like our bears.
Comments: I should have worded that last post differently. I knew you were coming Sharon. I really meant if there were any others coming let us know now so we can have tables set up for all.
Comments: I rsvp'd to Mary Kay. Definitely plan on being there. Don't think Steve is coming though.
Comments: Yes, Sharon it is down from North Park at the corner shopping strip at Hillcrest and Northwest Hwy. We have 59 reserved. If you are planning on coming let me know asasp. I am turning in the count tomorrow for them to set up tables.
Comments: Is El Fenix in the shopping center at Northwest Hwy and Hillcrest?
Comments: Thanks for the info. Covered parking at your suggested parking has been made. Thanks so much!
Comments: I've had good experiences with the Parking Spot, too, both at Love Field and DFW. If you get Val Pak mailings, there are frequently discount coupons in there for the Parking Spot.
Comments: Dan, we have had good experiences with The Parking Spot. You might Google them and see what you think. Have a good trip!
Comments: dear friends, I'm flying out of Love field on 11-5 .can anyone recommend any long term parking there or off airport. I'm leaving at 7 am .i parked on the airport last trip but is there any problem with doing that at this time Thanks, Dan
Comments: Walgreens and alot of other pharmacies have the shingles vaccine, among others. As a result of the Affordable Care Act, with most insurance plans, immunizations -- and other preventive care -- are fully-insured, with zero co-pay to the patient.
Comments: Donna, I'm sorry to hear about your bout with shingles. For something that sounds so innocuous, shingles hurts like h-e-double hockey sticks. Please rally soon. Thank you for the heads up suggestion about the inoculation. I had the shot as soon as it came out, thanks to a minor but painful round with shingles when I was about 30.
Comments: Donna, I have had shingles twice. The first time the pain was unbearable for a long time and the second time the pain was bad but it went away within a few weeks. Take care! I know what you are going through.
Comments: Dear Peaches, I thought that I might be able to attend the luncheon, but I have been sidelined by the shingles. I no longer have visible wounds, but the pain is very bad. The pain medication I have doesn't begin to reach it. I am find it difficult to get comfortable in any position and I have not been able to travel. So, I urge you all to talk to your doctors about the shingles vaccine as soon as possible. I had the chicken pox when I was seven and it has come back to haunt me! I was looking forward to the luncheon, but maybe I can make the next one. Everyone have a great time and-----oh yeah, eat some great Mexican food. Donna Gwin Libhart
Comments: up to 56 now. If you are planning best rsvp before it get too full. Since this is the first luncheon this year I believe lots are ready to visit again.
Comments: FYI, we now have 47 signed up for the luncheon on October 25th. This is the first one this year. I was going to do our summer luncheon but with Mary Kay and I have surgery around the same time, it just did not happen. So now is your chance to see classmates. We always have so much fun!!!! |
