Comments: Ginger, You should be congratulated on all your voluntary endeavors. I am sure it keeps you young and active. It is good for people to be active and involved no matter what their age. Comments: I've made 'The Franklin Brownies' to take to a DAR meeting today...They are iced and good.. Very good, but I can't handle them..but once or twice a year... (I can handle only so much decadence...) Jason and I are volunteering at the Memphis International Film Festival next weekend..I did this last year and he's a Digital Film Major, so he's going this year..to see what's up.. I wish he would become 'extremely' famous and Rich and buy me a house on Malibu...Well, 'Dream on... Ginger'... I'm also volunteering at a Sierra Club/ Earth Day Event.. There you go...That's all my Progressive/ Conservative Events for the week..Well, that and a potluck for my old people volunteer group...(STARS) Singles Together Achieving Results... I lead 'such' an exciting life...! (We're in our 'mourning period' for Dr. Benjamin Hooks in Memphis..former Pres. of NAACP...etc., etc, and the main library is named after him...His funeral is on Wednesday..so it will be a week or two..of remembrances..)
Comments: Is the Weekly World News still on the shelves? They always provided good entertainment while waiting in line: Baby Born Wearing Egyptian Bracelet -- that sort of fine news story.
Comments: All the stores have those same old magazines..It's just that I don't buy them any more and usually I don't have time in the line to read them.. The best chance to read 'any' magazine is..in the doctor's office..and they usually have Newsweek, New Yorker, etc, etc... I can't imagine anyone wanting to commit suicide over Prince Charles....! Whew...what a life...1
Comments: Haaa!! Speaking of sarcastic, very funny, um, Sara. Just can't get good mags in those check out lines at Walgreens or Kroger no matter "down where ever" one lives.

Comments: Yes, ahem...that is the irony of the rag putting Camilla on the cover....I was being sarcastic, poor dear, but I guess it didn't come across that way......those rags are ridiculous and I love reading the mediocrity while in the check out line. Camilla's attempted suicide along with the talking asparagus discovered under the illuminated chartreuse rock.
Comments: Life is so entertaining..! (and sometimes frustrating) Charlotte, your teeth are probably as white as hers..Hers are accentuated by her very, dark skin... Oh poor Camilla and Charles..Maybe Diana is turning over in her grave..
Comments: Charlotte, I thought that was Charles's trade off for marrying Camilla. After all, she was a divorced woman when he married her. Not to mention that he was also divorced. Remember the Duke of Windsor and Mrs. Simpson, the American divorcee. He was Edward the VII and he was forced to abdicate the throne of England in 1936 because he wanted to marry Mrs. Simpson.
Comments: Hi Sara! How is little Judy? she is sooooo precious! I heard President Obama say he was "amused" at the Tea Party people that were meeting yesterday....???? amused? As an aside, I wish my teeth were as white as Mrs. Obama's are... while standing in line at the pharmacy, I saw her pic on the cover of Good Housekeeping.....along with all the other rags at the check out stan. FLASH>>> evidently Camilla has attempted suicide because Charles will not be named King!! Poor Dear.

Comments: Clinton was distracted by any young woman...He doesn't count.. Obama is actually smart and has very smart people around him. I don't think he's distracted by every other woman...around him... ( I didn't vote for him(Obama)..Either..He just seems to pay more attention to the problems at hand.. Obama has also picked people that worked in a Republican Administration..also) Where's Sam when the Tea Party needs him..?
Comments: I've found that Indian CS people are good IF they have been trained in the product. The worst I encountered were with Dell, and it was clear they had never seen a Dell computer and had poor scripts to go by. I dealt with them in about 1995. I guess that was during the Clinton years, not that the President has a thing to do with how customer service is handled. I just know I'll never buy another Dell. I was impressed with Canon today.
Comments: NO....could it be...the Democratic Adminstration...has brought some of the jobs...back in the 'continental' US of A.....? Could be God just performed a miracle... The same thing has happened to me... (I was really tired of listening to people from Pakistan and India...)
Comments: Something amazing just happened to me. I have a new Canon camera, and I needed to ask a technical question. When I called Customer Service, I talked to someone in the USA. She answered my question in about two seconds.
Comments: Somebody start a conversation...I'm tired of looking at Barry's Post..(Sorry, Barry) I'm going out in a little while...so if someone decides to say something...'witty', 'profound'...or totally...'ridiculous'...I won't be here..till later... Bye....G. 
Comments: Philip: That's great! Lord knows that there are a lot of them that need help. We were a little disappointed last year. Instead of a couple of wounded soldiers, we got to ferry around a photographer from the Pentagon and a retired General. He was very interesting. A Hispanic, he had worked his way up through the ranks. He was a paratrooper in , I think, every conflict from the Korean War. I asked him what he thought of the new Commander in Chief and he gave me a very politically correct answer. "My job is to follow orders.", or something like that.
Comments: Barry, the gentleman that I occasionally ferry horses overseas for does the wounded warrior fishing thing. He hired a wounded warrior to work/ferry animals for him and work on his ranch. outside of San Antonio

Comments: Kathleen, here's my nonprofessional and don't know-know-squat-about investing strategy: I started buying shares of mutual funds decades ago, and watched my account balance go up and down -- sometimes dramatically -- over the years. I had sleepless nights during bad times in the market, but I didn't sell NO MATTER WHAT. I'd rather blow money on lottery tickets than day trading. Just spread out your dough. I think they call it diversifying. If you make a fortune, remember who told you this, but if you lose money you didn't hear this from me. The market is always a gamble, but it generally goes upward over time.
Comments: Lynell, you are right about investing when you can "buy low and sell high." I just wish I had bought some Apple stock before their new IPADs came out. I used to have some friends who were "day traders" and they made a lot of money speculating. My problem is I never know when to sell and it seems hard to get reliable information.
Comments: Nah, Jud. I don't have a license to kill, although I might want to apply for one.

Comments: Ya see, Jud, there's an advantage to having no licenses other than one to drive and .. uh, well maybe one or two others. I'm not even a Notary anymore, so I can advise people all day about stuff -- just not as well as you can.

Comments: It looks like now is the time to get into the stock market. The DOW keeps going up and up. What is the opinion of some of you who are experts on the market. Is now the time to invest?
