Comments: So sorry to hear of Roger and Celi’s passings, they were both so wonderful. Roger always made me laugh. They will be truly missed.
Comments: Staggering news to learn of the passing of Celi and now Rodger. Rodger would go out of his way to get a smile out of you with his corny humor. I don't know the details but heard that both had numerous health issues in recent years. Must have been quite rough for them.
Comments: Sorry to hear about Celi and Rodger. Every time I hear of a classmate passing a flood of memories hit me. So many memories of Rodger are coming back, all good and bring a chuckle and a smile. We had some good times.
Comments: Rodger Davis has passed away. Peaches will post more in a few days. Meanwhile, I envision young Rodger on his bike, revving the engine at heaven‘s door. May he rest in eternal peace and always keep that twinkle in his eye.
Comments: Awwww! My favorite “Motorcycle thru the halls” guy. Rest In Peace Roger 🙏🏻
Comments: So sorry to hear about Celi and now I hear that Roger Davis just passed . 2 special people! 🙏, our ranks are growing thin.
Comments: Hi, Mike Peters, You‘re so right. By this age most of us have survived one thing or another. Some have survived more than their share!
Comments: This evening Fox 4 News had a story about the 1964 Golden Pheasant Restaurant fire in downtown Dallas. Dorothy Shamblin Averitte’s husband Bob was a young firefighter on the job that night. He had a nice TV interview. Four firefighters lost their lives in that fire.
Comments: It is indeed sad that we are losing our peers. Rest In Peace Celi ❣️
Comments: Since we all lived in the era of Vietnam, I found this story of SSG Barry Sadler who sang the song, Ballad of the Green Beret. I don't know if we are allowed to add links in our guestbook but this video (on Youtube) is very interesting and brings back memories, both good and bad. Hope it is okay. We all are surviors in our own way and I appreciate all the experiences we have had over the years.
Comments: I’m sad to report to the Class of ‘63 that one of our own has passed away. Celi Lowrance Hamilton left this world earlier today. I don’t know any details, but I feel sure MaryKay crowder will keep us posted. Celi was a sweet, kindhearted person who will be missed.
Comments: The sun looks so nice this morning! Donna and I got through icemaggedon with no damage to bodies, dwelling or vehicles. I attribute that to the fact that we stayed in our jammies all day Wednesday and Thursday. We buried my 97-year-old aunt on Tuesday in East Texas but the weather was nice that day. And, I got to visit with a few cousins that I haven't seen in quite a few years.
Comments: I hope everyone is making it through this cold, icy spell without any problem. I am very glad I don’t live where there’s a lot of this!
Comments: Barry, Best wishes. good news that you feel good. I’m just thinking about our ages……hard to believe to me. I’m just happy to have another year, but , Oh, the aches and pains come along with those years now.
Comments: Belated best wishes for the Holidays. I'll be glad when the weather makes up its mind-cold one day wind from the north, warm the next day with strong south wind. Before long it will be hot all the time and I'll be longing for cooler weather. I just wish we could get some rain! I'm still getting stuck with needles and taking some unbeliebably expensive cancer pills. I'm just glad that Joan has good health insurance. Without it, these pills would be $30,000 a month. With insurance, the copay is only $85. I'm feeling as good as a 77 yr old overweight guy has a right to feel and we feel blessed. In a few weeks, we plan to visit the Gulf coast for a couple of weeks and might even go fishing! Take care and you guys are in my thoughts and prayers every day.
Comments: Happy New Year everybody! Surely 2022 will be better than the last two.
Comments: I hope everyone is having a pleasant, sane and fun New Year’s Eve, and that we all have a happy and healthy 2022. May God bless us, one and all.
Comments: Dennis, Ginger may have at one time , but during high school she lived on Vanette Lane. Merry Christmas all ! 🎄 I wish health and happiness to all In the new year❣️
Comments: Merry Christmas to all as we celebrate the GREATEST GIFT of all Jesus Christ. By the way I always thought that Ginger Hearn lived on the same street as I Ewing. God Bless.
Comments: To my SOC friends who celebrate Christmas, have a merry and safe one!
Comments: Hey all, yes, I lived on Vanette lane and so did Karen Jones, Ginger Hearn, Clyde Aiklen (probably spelled Clyde's last name wrong) and Sherry Locke. Maybe a few more. I've seen some houses for sale on Vanette Lane for 7 times what we paid for ours. It was a nice street with pretty trees etc. BY THE WAY, i hate what they've done to South Oak Cliff school. I watched the football game. Good for them. But, I do not consider it my high school anymore. Ours is gone.
