Comments: Ronny Jarman's "Celebration of Life" will be held on September 12th in Bullard, Texas, at Eastdale Baptist Church. The address is 153 Eastdale Lane and it will begin at 1:00pm. No obituary has been published yet, but one is in the works.
Comments: Today I spoke with Shirley Jarman, the wife of our Ronny H. Jarman. It was sad news she was confirming. Ronny passed away on July 31st. He had been in declining health for a number of years. In the past 18 months the effects of severe diabetes, congestive heart failure, and difficulty breathing began to accelerate. The month of July was particularly difficult, ultimately ending his life. Some of you may remember way back in the spring of 1965 he married Kathy Buster (Class of '65). They divorced in early 1969. In 1984 Ronny and Shirley married, eventually settling near Lake Palestine. In his later years he drove big rig trucks for WalMart and Shirley made a career in the banking industry. After graduation in 1963 I doubted I'd ever see Ronny again. Then in 1965 we both found ourselves enlisted in the 49th Armored Division in Dallas. We served our six years and stayed in touch afterwards. Shirley tells me it was Ronny's wish to be cremated. She hopes to pull together a Celebration of Life sometime in September and promised to let me know the date. Rest in peace, Ronny.
Comments: David Kirk is now on our memoriam page. He was such a nice, low key, smart classmate. May he rest in peace.

Comments: Hello all, Sadly It’s seems we are at the age of losing our peers. David was a good friend as were so many others we are missing. I have so many wonderful memories of friends from my childhood that remain in my heart now. Fortunately I still have some of those dear friends with me today. I may not see or talk with them often, but love them just the same. God bless all of you. 🙏🏻

Comments: James Randall Parrish, born August 10, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on April 8, 2026. James was raised in Dallas and graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1963. A true patriot, he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era, and then went on to continue his education at University of Texas Dallas. His commitment to service didn’t end after the Navy—he continued dedicating his life to this country through a 27-year career with the United States State Department. That work took him all over the world, but no matter where he went, he carried his values, his work ethic, and his love for his country with him. He retired with high honors and the respect of those he served alongside.

Comments: This is a huge Thank You to everyone who turned out this morning for Brandon's memorial service. There were several SOCites there, along with family from both sides of his family, along with quite a few college friends of his and Katie, a lot of folks from our church, a group from the Patriot Guard Riders and the Texas Fishing Forum, friends of mine and Donna. One of his college buddies drove down from Minnesota because he was afraid the airline might not get him here in time. Donna and I were overwhelmed! We've never seen so many people in our church before. It was standing room only! God Bless You All!!
