My wife, Joan, had a stroke on Aug 13 and a seizure on Aug 15.  Luckily, I was home with her when the stroke happened, and she was at Baylor Grapevine when she had the seizure.  She is currently at Texas Rehab Hospital in Keller.  The only damage from the seizure is that her left hand and left leg are weak.  She is supposed to be in rehab for another week and then she goes back to Baylor for a stent in her neck.  Please pray for us during this difficult time.

Read yesterday that we lost a 1964 classmate, Lonnie Harmon. Barbara Moffett had posted it on our site. I am sure a lot of you knew him or played baseball with him in the 50s. RIP Lonnie.

Dear friends, Gary and I thank all of you for your sweet comments during this sad time in our lives.  Dawn was a blessing to us and the family and we will miss her terribly.  We are thankful for the time we had with her, always never enough time, so hold your loved ones close. Gary - one of my ole Lisbon friends, I am sending my thoughts and good memories of your beautiful daughter, Dawn.  It was an honor to meet her in Seattle.  She was hospitable and she gave us a great tour of the area. She did favor her Dad and had a smile that just sparkled.  So, love to you and Tanya, and I hope to see you again.

Lisa Wright texted me that our Tim Wright went to be with Jesus last night. Tim had a brain tumor. Lisa gave Tim an 80th birthday surprise party this year. Tim was so excited and humbled by so many of his friends that came and took the time to reminisce their time together. Tim was also so happy he and Lisa came to our 60th Reunion.

Gary and Tanya, I am sad to hear of your great loss ! I only met Dawn once but saw she was a loving daughter in that short time. She was absolutely gorgeous!! I read her obituary. She lead a remarkable life and accomplished so much in her 56 years! Hang on to your memories for comfort. Prayers for your family!
