Comments: Burl Hintz passed away last night. He will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held after the New Year.
Comments: I remember Burl as the big Sports Figure but didn't know him naturally but, Oh My Goodness, these things are a part of our life and one becomes increasingly aware of the sad goings-on. Thank you Tanya for the update; I appreciate you being the source of lots of news.
Comments: We talked with Gene Bolinger this am, he stated Burl Hintz, class of 62, is in hospice care now and if any of his old friends want to visit him, to go now. He may not communicate back but will hear you talking and may give a smile if talking about football. Gene said he may last only a few days now. Keep Burl and his wife Ann in your prayers.
Comments: I check in periodically. We just moved from Emory, TX to The Hamptons Retirement Community in Tyler. We lived on 41 acres of hay fields and it was difficult to leave but it just got to be too much work for someone who is approaching old age. Hope you are all well because some of you may be getting old as well.
Comments: Our trip was almost a bust with the colors. It has been very dry in NE this year and that severely affects the fall colors. There were some in a few states but even those were "dull." The exception was New Hampshire. There was a lot of color there, but it was still not as vivid as I thought it was going to be. However, there is so much "old stuff" up there that it was like a history tour. A lot of churches that were dedicated in the early 1700s that are still active today. Cemeteries with markers dating back to the late 1600s. Beautiful rural areas that I think most folks don't think about in NE. It was a great trip! But, it's always good to get home.
Comments: Interesting to hear about Bill's sightseeing tour of New England. Before I moved to NY in 2000 I'd never seen the change of colors and I continue to be thrilled and amazed each fall as the various colors begin to "dot the Adirondacks" as it is like a living calendar of beauty. Upstate NY is not New England but where I live is about 30 miles from CT, MA and a bit further to the other beautiful states. Take the trip if and when you can; you will not be disappointed.
Comments: Wow, Bill. I have always wanted to do the New England states. Was Fall showing. You must have seen a a lot during that time. I love the way you two stay so active and enjoy life. ππ
Comments: I check in every now and then. Donna and I just got back yesterday afternoon from a 17-day trip to New England.
Comments: Am I talking to myself?
Comments: Hey, let us know you are checking this websiteβ¦even if you only post your name. Today is a beautiful day. I am decorating for Fallβ¦.pumpkins. I do not decorate for halloween. Only thing I do is make a sack of candy for each neighborhood kiddo. Look forward to yβallβs post!ππ

Looking forward to Peaches annual luncheon in December!

Comments: Yes, she has been home a little over a week. She gets very tired later in the day. We have in home therapy coming almost every day. Sometimes as many as three visits a day. Maybe that's hy she gets tired! We are hopeful that she will eventually get back to where she was. We will be thinking about you tonight and wishing we were there.
Comments: Barry, let us know how Joan is feeling. Hopefully she is home and comfortable.
Comments: I regret that Joan and I will be unable to attend the 80th birthday celebration. We had been looking forward to it. Hope it is a big success.
