Mike, I forwarded your thank you to Les Hancock. He is in charge of the Men's  luncheons and that is where the card came from. He responded to you on Facebook. I have been praying for you to have a good recovery and am so sorry for your circumstances. Your name is on my prayer list.

to: the 63 lunch bunch---thank you so much for yourkind and caring card that you all signed. I hope that I can and will get better in the near future.  Strokes & heart attacks are no fun.If I had a dollar for every time I have fallen & bounced my head off the tile here the last few months I could buy a new vette. LOL,If I want to blame someone for my health problems, I need only look in the mirror. No one ever shoved a  cigarette, marguerita, or mexican dinner in my mouth except me.Thanks again for remembering me---MIKE

My goodness, Sharon. That is scary. I'm glad you're okay. It's a strange world, and it seems to get stranger by the day.
Years ago I went to Campbell Centre often. More than once when I was there, the oil company in the building had a bomb scare. They made everyone walk out. The first time, I carried all my court reporting equipment down 18 floors. I have disliked stairs since that time.
This is one of those good/bad days. Got our tax refund a week after filing, and we both have horrible colds. No shopping spree for moi!

Had a crazy thing happen at work yesterday afternoon.  I work in Addison.  Around 3:30 pm. the young man in my office left to go to an appointment and 5 minutes later he was back.  He said, no one is going anywhere for the time being.  Seems a bomb threat had been made concerning the building next door.  Every policeman in Addison was on our block.  All driveways were blocked off.  Around 4:00 pm, the bomb squad dogs were brought in and sniffed every car in our parking lot. I got to watch from our 5th floor office.  Finally, at 5:00, our driveway was opened at one end and we managed to drive off, but only in one direction.  I have no idea when the people in the other two buildings got to leave.  Pretty weird and somewhat scary.

I realized later that it's Tilden, not Tillman, Street where Wee St. Andrews was located.  What can I say?  I'm old (but still wild and crazy)!  [confused]

Thanks, Phyllis.  You are so right, it was the best ever.  I haven't played miniature golf in forever.  I'm not sure if there are still any putt-putt courses out there.

Dear Sharon:

Wee Saint Andrews was at Tillman and Plowman Streets.  The best miniature golf course of all time.

Quick question.  Where was the Wee Saint Andrews Miniature golf course located?  Was it on Zangs?  I was telling this young man in my office about it, and for the life of me I couldn't remember the street names.  Also, reminisced about the Orange Juluis stand down the street from it.

Charlotte, I haven't had the pleasure of being around you much, but trust me, that Lynell Smith & Martha Bass are wild & crazy partiers!  Martha comes to our reunions with her sister, Judy, from my class.  I'm praying they both are able to attend this year.  Seriously, we always enjoy the good folks from '63, '64, & '65.

It's not a party until the seniors arrive!! [tongue] [biggrin] [biggrin]  And thanks for looking at our new site!  I added music to the Reunion page and think I'll add a different song to several other pages.  Good music to listen to while reviewing the info. [smile]

Thanks Lynell.  I still have a lot of old photos to put back onto the new site, but it takes time.  At least these 6 pgs will get us going.

And yes, it's always nice to have the mature generation join us & bring a little decorum to the party!  Oh, who am I kidding . . .  you guys are all crazy and I love it when you join us!!!  Hope to "See You In September!"

Hello to all my '63 friends!  Well, now it's our turn.  The class of '66 will be celebrating our 50th Reunion in September.  Wow, how time flies!

The Place and Dates are set, 9-23 & 9-24, at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Garland.  All the details are "in progress", but I wanted you to know the dates because we always enjoy having many of you at our reunions!

If you haven't looked lately, our website has been completely redone.  The 50th Reunion page lists all the details including a direct link to the hotel reservation system.  This link is easy & has all the info already keyed into it. We have a great rate of $85 per night which includes a buffet breakfast!  Here's the link to our site:  www.soc1966.com .   Hope to see many of you at the reunion!

Sometimes I hate technology. I need to turn off spell correction. Or at least proof read. Besides, it make me lazy.
That last sentence is...I guess

Sharon, good to know you are better. I have developed allergies also. Weird. Mine seem to change with the seasons. I'm better during the winter. Even in the mountains in the summer I have problems. The spring is later than ours. We often keep our windows open there which doesn't help. When the beautiful trees are blooming and the cotton woods are shedding, with only light breeze, one can see the yellow pollen covering every piece of furniture. I guess my lungs are full as well. But, it seems I have the sniffles all the time.
I uses that is more info than anyone wants to know about my allergies....haaaaaa!

Hi, Charlotte, thanks for asking.  I don't know if I'm well but I am certainly a lot better.  No fever, yeah.  My problem now is allergies.  I don't ever remember having allergies when we were growing up, but I guess it comes with aging and what we've done to our climate.  Hope you and yours are doing well.

Did not know if any of the SOC 63 crowd knew this so I am sharing.  It seems Mike Young had a stroke and heart attack in the last month or so and is still having a  hard time, having to use a walker to get around.  I am sure he would love a card or a personal phone call just to talk as that is one thing he never gets tired of and that is talking to his friends.  Please keep him inm your prayers for continued healing.
