Yes, Johnnie has not changed at all.  Still the same dashing, black haired, physically fit guy that he was in high school.  Wait, I was looking in the mirror and lost my train of thought for a second!

Hi, David! Long time since we roamed the halls of old SOC High. Hope all is well in your world and that the past 50 years have left you in a state of good health and relative happiness. Are you still in the Houston area? I'm in The Woodlands (since 1995).

Last I heard about Judy McGowan is that she landed in Maryland. If you want her contact info, email me at the blue link in the upper right corner.

Too bad you no longer have your Yearbooks (neither does Peaches). If you did then you could consult them and look me up. Amazingly, I look EXACTLY the same as in 1963. Ask anyone.

Been a long time folks. Lots of memories come to mind - and regrettably lots of memories lost in the process as well. I certainly remember Peaches - we were in classes as far back as E M Pease, along with Annette Cross. I am sure Annette does not remember me, but we were confirmed into the Episcopal church together. Peaches as I recall you were a cheer leader at SOC?  I used to have albums but they were lost in floods, moves, and so on over the years. So if anyone remembers me I would certainly like to hear from you and perhaps we can bring each other up to date. By the way, does any one know Judy McGowan ?
Thanks
David

David and I looked at Lonnie's video from the 50th reunion today. It is very good, and I would never have known he had a computer calamity in the middle of editing it. Thank you, Lonnie!

Miss Loraine certainly is a special person. Take her a bite of cake to taste. Nothing wrong with the taster!
My cousin is also 92, as is a friend I have lunch with once a week. Both my 92 year olds are with it?

My mother, Loraine will be 92 tomorrow. I love this woman so much! Her nurse will call me tomorrow so I can sing happy birthday to her. I have always called her first thing in the morning of her birthday to sing to her. She is such a very very special person. Since she is on the feeding tube I cannot get her a cake or anything food wise. She really does not need anything. She told me all she wanted was for me to be with her which, of course, I will. She never complains. I was so blessed to have such a special mother who has become my best friend through the years.

Last night I had a brief phone conversation with Danny Green. He sounded a little exhausted but was in good spirits with a good attitude.

His recent stroke has affected his left side - primarily his ability to use his left hand. He has begun rehab and hopes to be back up to speed in a few months. He feels fortunate that the stroke did not affect his ability to walk. He mentioned having some difficulty swallowing liquids.

Danny is experiencing chest pains and has been wearing a heart monitor. Early tests indicate that perhaps 30% of his heart may be damaged. He is scheduled soon for a stress test and further observation. He was sorry to have missed the SOC Christmas party.

The photos came out beautiful Lynell.  Thanks for faithfully taking photos along with Lonnie to retain good times for our memories.  Peaches' home is always charming and the hostesses do a great job on the food along with contributions by those that attend.  A special time for all!

Phil, I wish you and Carol could have been there. The company and the food and the hospitality were all great. I sat with Diane Tanalsky Kennedy, among others. Diane went to St. James with you.

So sorry that I didn't make the get together yesterday, but Steve was very sick all weekend.  I didn't want to leave my mom with him.  He's better today, thank goodness.

Dear Peaches,
I am sorry we will not be able to come to the luncheon.  We have a funeral for a friend on Saturday and family coming in from out of town on Sunday.  We were looking forward to seeing everyone, but we hope you all have a great time.  A Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
My Birthday was the 4th of December and our 46th anniversary is the 23rd.  We are blessed!
Love and Prayers for Health and Blessings to All!!

Diane, you and Joanne are on the list. Several that were coming last Sunday will not make it due to prior committments. That is why we try to have it at the beginning of December. Oh well, ice happens. The weather men are saying it will be 50 degrees. I can handle that. Gotta get to work after 4 days off. Got spoiled!

Dear Peaches,
sorry to hear about the get-together on Sunday.  Hopefully it will be better next weekend.  We have been stuck in the house for a week.  I have cooked more soup, beans and chili than I care to see.  We get out to take care of our chickens, but little else.  There is traffic on Hwy 31 going toward Waco, but as soon as the sunset comes the slush will turn to ice.  I am surprised that no one has ended up in the ditches in front of the house.  Several years ago, we had a van land in our front yard. There were no injuries, but it was buried up to the axles.  The wrecker had to sit on the pavement and winch it out of the yard.  I cringe when I hear squealing brakes on our stretch of the highway.
So everyone be careful and know that you are all in our prayers.  We may be able to come next week if the weather cooperates!
Take care,
Love, Donna Gwin Libhart

We are obviously going to have postphone our SOC Christmas luncheon for this Sunday. We had 45 planning on coming.  We are rescheduling for Sunday, December 15 at 1:00 pm. Please rsvp again if you can make it that date. We will see how the weather is next weekend. We have been so fortunate we have never had to cancel one before.

I was without power from early morning till 11:10 am. It is a horrible feeling. Almost everything you do requires power. My cell phone had one bar left.........I am so addicted to coffee.....I now have a pot of 8 cups ready to be enjoyed. I can not drive to see my mother and that will be hard on me and her. I have seen her every day since her stroke except during our Reunion.

Enjoy whatever you are doing now. Hopefully, we will have our celebration next Sunday.
