Comments: They gave her ativan again yesterday morning to take the MRI. She was out of it yesterday and kept asking me to take her home (heart breaking). The MRI showed a stroke in her brain stem on the right side. She still cannot move her left arm and leg much. I called this morning and she was more alert, ate what they called a mechanical diet breakfast (food mashed). She will be going to rehab (do not know when). I ask that you prayer warriors pray for her to be able to use her left arm and legs so she can take care of herself again. This is not life threatening but I covet your prayers. Thanks for asking Brenda. My heart is breaking for my mother. Last week was such a good week for her.

Comments: Charlotte, the reunion was great but I was exhausted afterward. We had 80 or so (which keeps getting smaller each year) and so much home cooked food that made you drool. My mom, Uncle Milton and Aunt Ruth are the last ones out of 13 children. The 70th anniversary celebration was a surprise and they loved it. I don't know what will happen when I can't do this anymore because the "young" ones don't have any desire to take charge of it. But, hopefully, I'll be around a while. I'm really looking forward to the Summer Lunch at Peaches and then our 50th Reunion. The Houston bunch needs to trek up here for the lunch.
Comments: Sharon, tell us about your family reunion!!!!

Comments: Did all the North Texas area SOCites have a nice rain yesterday? We had over an inch in about a half hour in Lake Highlands. I think it was a cloudburst. I love the rain!
Comments: Glad you broke the 'silence'...around here...Sharon...
Comments: I forgot. Not only are we having a family reunion, but we are celebrating my Uncle Milton (my mom's baby brother) and Aunt Helen's 70th Wedding Anniversary. He's almost 91 and she's 89. He's in a wheelchair now but mind is sharp as a tack. And she never slows down. I can't imagine 70 years together.
Comments: I'm taking off tomorrow to get ready for my mom's family reunion in Canton on Saturday. Can't wait for all that good home cooking. I just hope my mom remembers everyone. Heck, I hope I remember everyone. Hey, Peach Guy, if you're in the area Saturday, drop by the Mill Creek Resort, just up the road from your place, about noon and have lunch with the Peden Reunioners. Hope you all have a great weekend.
Comments: this past Memorial Day I learn an American Flag etiquette that I didn't know. On Memorial Day the American Flag should be flown at half mast until 12 noon and after noon it should be raised high.
