Comments: Peaches, did you get my email about the reunion last week? Not sure if I have the correct address.
Comments: I had a wonderful time Saturday, and thanks everyone for your concern about my mom. She is doing better but will probably be in the hospital a few more days. Thank you to Peaches and all the hosts and hostesses for allowing us to share such a wonderful time together. Diane, does your cousin live in South Fork? My ex-husband lives in Creede just north of there. I spoke with him and he said they were fine so I was somewhat relieved. However, camping in South Fork was my introduction to Colorado in the '60's and I love that place. Surely hope everything works out.
Comments: Diane, I am so sorry for your niece and her family. Where in CO are they? Many of the forests are tender boxes because of the massive beetle kill two years ago. Acres and acres of dead trees remain brittle and ready to burn. I pray for all families these natural tragedies have touched and are touching in so many states recently. Sharon Reeves, I love your hair!!!
Comments: Please pray for my niece, her family and all the families in Colorado. She has had to evacuated her home and town. Earlier this evening they were told that the fires were about 3 miles from the town. Everyone in Colorado are living from minute to minute. Mary is scared to death that they will loose everything. Please keep her and the Colorado residents in your prayers
Comments: I was hacked, and my new email address is: kathleen.pulte@aol.com I hope to receive a lot of email at my new address!
Comments: The photos I took are now on the Images page, under the top button. Remember, to see them full size, you can click the Slideshow button (top right.) Lonnie Harmon, I took the liberty of glomming some of your pictures off Facebook because some of those I took were shaky. Imagine that. Anyway, I figured it'd be easier to ask your forgiveness than to get permission. Lonnie's pics are those without a date stamp (because I forgot to turn my date stamper off.) I had a wonderful time. Peaches, your house looks great!
Comments: Thank You to Peaches for sharing her home with us and a big THANK YOU to all the hosts & hostesses for providing the food & great desserts!! I appreciate all of you!! It was so good to see so many old friends. Missed seeing the Southworths and some others. Lonnie has already gotten 39 photos posted on FB. He's relentless, it takes me nearly a week to get all my photos of our '66 events posted. Thanks for letting me share time with all of you!!!!!
Comments: So sorry I had to miss another great occasion today...My Grandson started a new job and his truck is not operational so grandma had to be his chauffeur....everyone looks great...
Comments: Donna, please ask Hughie to forgive me for calling him Hulen. it was really nice to see you both.
Comments: Thank you luncheon committee for a wonderful lunch and fabulous friends. Good to see you Donna. Come back again.
Comments: Dear Peaches and Hostesses, My husband Hughie and I had the best time. It was great to see everyone and we are so glad we were able to come. I am sorry we had to leave so soon, but Hughie was tired and he had a sort of appointment later this evening. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did. The food was great and the company was greater! Peaches, your home was gorgeous. Thank you for a lovely time. Love, Donna and Hughie Libhart
Comments: The luncheon was so much fun, and the food was just yummy. Thank you, hostesses and host! What a wonderful group we have. Donna Gwin and husband Hulen - FIRST TIMERS!! So great to see you after all these years! I'm getting the photos I took organized (HA. Imagine ME organizing something.) I'll post them soon. Tomorrow maybe.

Comments: Can hardly wait til the luncheon tomorrow.
Comments: THE SOC SUMMER LUNCHEON IS THIS SATURDAY AT PEACHES' HOUSE! If you received a message from Facebook that the luncheon is cancelled, it was a mistake. Hope to see you there!
Comments: Sharon, I am sorry too, but can't be helped this time. Yes, take loads of photos.
Comments: Happy Birthday GW!! We Love Ya always.
Comments: So glad we have this site to keep up with each other!
Comments: Charlotte, I am so sad that you won't be able to attend our 50th, so we'll just have to take loads of pictures. And, Roddy, I think the last one you were at was the 25th. We will miss you.
Comments: Happy Fathers Day to all the SOC daddies out there (and also to the grandfathers, uncles, cousins and big brothers who have the interest of the younger people at heart,) May you all have a wonderful day. Peaches, thank you for the update on your mom. I wish the best for her and you.
Comments: They gave her ativan again yesterday morning to take the MRI. She was out of it yesterday and kept asking me to take her home (heart breaking). The MRI showed a stroke in her brain stem on the right side. She still cannot move her left arm and leg much. I called this morning and she was more alert, ate what they called a mechanical diet breakfast (food mashed). She will be going to rehab (do not know when). I ask that you prayer warriors pray for her to be able to use her left arm and legs so she can take care of herself again. This is not life threatening but I covet your prayers. Thanks for asking Brenda. My heart is breaking for my mother. Last week was such a good week for her.
Comments: Peaches...when you have a chance please update us on your Mother...Love you!!
Comments: Dear Peaches, We are sorry to hear about your sweet Mom. We will hold her and your family close in our prayers and thoughts. Just let us know if there is anything we can do. Love, Donna Gwin Libhart

Comments: June 12th....Happy Birthday Gary Leverett...love you my friend!!!
Comments: Charlotte, the reunion was great but I was exhausted afterward. We had 80 or so (which keeps getting smaller each year) and so much home cooked food that made you drool. My mom, Uncle Milton and Aunt Ruth are the last ones out of 13 children. The 70th anniversary celebration was a surprise and they loved it. I don't know what will happen when I can't do this anymore because the "young" ones don't have any desire to take charge of it. But, hopefully, I'll be around a while. I'm really looking forward to the Summer Lunch at Peaches and then our 50th Reunion. The Houston bunch needs to trek up here for the lunch.
Comments: Sharon, tell us about your family reunion!!!!
Comments: Sounds great Peaches! Thanks for the invite. I sent you an RSVP via your em. Looking forward to seeing all my SOC friends from '63 as well as '64, '65 & the rest of you too!!! |
