Comments: WHAT?
Comments: My grandparents read the 'obits' every day. I've known others that do so also. I look up 'online' when I hear of a friend, classmate, distant relative that has passed. I had friends in Memphis that still read the newspaper every day. I only took the Sunday paper. Here in this small Texas town, they have a paper only on Wednesday and Saturday. I'm not that familiar with anyone in this town. As the papers go...the 'paper' version of the paper, so will the daily check of the obits go.. I like the idea that we can now 'look up' any paper in any town...online. Sometimes, you might have to subscribe to get the whole thing, but we do have greater 'access' to the news...in any town..now. Frankie Cantu has had several very nice comments made about him from former classmates, friends, coworkers. This Legacy.com is a good thing..
Comments: Okay....we are at the age that reads the obits.....ugh!! I'm glad I don't live in Dallas so that I am not tempted to do that! (I know some of you have been doing that for our class for a long time just to keep up)
Comments: I owe Janet a return call. I will try my best to call her in the new few days and let y'all know.
Comments: BJ...came on FB and said Larry Perry is requiring 'full time' help for dementia in Arizona. Has anyone else heard..? I've known he's had dementia for a while. It must have progressed to a more serious level... It's hard to find anything on their '62' site.. They generally only discuss 'good old boy stuff' over there...?? If you hear..? Pass it on. I would suppose Janet is out there, too..
Comments: Greetings to Melanie Stone! I'll drop you a line and some old Russell pics.
Comments: Ginger, Frank Cantu sure was. I just remember he was cute. God bless him for his service to our nation. His sister Gloria was a Boude Storey friend. I'd guess he went to SMU on the GI Bill. May he rest in peace. I know Frankie's family and friends are suffering grief, and hope they are comforted by good memories.
Comments: Frankie Cantu went to Boude Storey with us.. I always liked Frankie. He was at my house for a party, once. He was quite a hero, wasn't he..?
Comments: Sharon, I saw Frankie Cantu in the obits, too. Gloria Cantu's cute little brother. He had two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. Sad for the family. I remember him from story. Nice boy with a great friendly smile.
Comments: Although I did not attend soc, was at cprussell with many members of the class of 63. I would like to reconnet with some of those classmates. My email is thedragon@melaniestonejack.com. than, you
Comments: Last week in the obits, I noticed that Frank Cantu had passed away. He graduated from Adamson. Didn't he go to Boude Storey with us?
Comments: That's great news about your mom, Sharon.
Comments: Search under Piano Tuners in Dallas.. There seems to be several.. I haven't used one since Austin.. Good luck with that.. They are 'out there'...
Comments: Does anyone know of a piano tuner in the area? I can always call Brook Mays, but thought I'd ask first. My piano is an upright about 70+ years old. My mom has been at C.C. Young rehab for 3 weeks and is doing so much better, but I know she won't be able to live by herself any longer.
Comments: Ken, we were all too blind to see your charisma and charm , Oh and potential (of what I don't know)...but, while trolling, you caught one of the prettiest and sweetest! Oh dear, was she blind and deaf too?
Comments: Ken
Comments: Ken, that was a great Brenda Lee impersonation. Who knew you had such talent? (Cute dress, too.)
Comments: Oh good grief...!
Comments: Well, Brenda Brown, I am apologizing to the hundreds of girls from South Oak Cliff High School who missed out on the opportunity to date me.......okay, maybe not. How about this: I'm sorry, so sorry Please accept my apology But love is blind, and I was too blind to see Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, yes. Brenda Lee......1960
Comments: Ok Ken... I will probably be sorry I asked knowing your sense of humor but what are you apologizing for???
Comments: Looks lime Brenda Lee is still around. Remember "Sweet Nothings"?
Comments: Is Brenda Lee still with us? Wait, is she younger than us?
Comments: Brenda Lee? Oh, I'm sorry, so sorry, please accepy my apology.
Comments: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah,Brenda..... what Sharon said....HAPPY, HAPPY...HAPPY!
