Comments: George and Reba did a concert in Memphis @the Fedex Forum.. The bands were so loud, it was hard to hear their words. I hope you had more quality sound at the rodeo.. I'm glad I got to see them, but would have enjoyed it more if the sound system had worked more efficiently...
Comments: I am soooo excited....going to see George Straight tonight. This is his last performance at the Houston Rodeo. His PR says this is his last tour. I suppose he will do small things, but I am sure he is waaaay tired of touring. I saw his first performance at the Rodeo. He was a substitute for someone who got sick..George came riding out to the stage on a white horse and stole everyone's heart that night. After his performance, as his band played, he rode the white horse around the arena waving his hat to the crowd and then out the door.. his star quickly began to shine after that.
Comments: MMM was hiking in a state park near Ft.Worth...on his birthday... Karen put really nice pictures..on FB...

Comments: I met the FIRST MMM son in Austin in the early 80s when MMM was only MM and touring small rodeos.The son was 7 years old. .It was fun to see him and his sun...then I saw them in Dear Valley Utah....that son was grown then and I think MMM was on his 2nd wife....That was just about the time he started singing the old Cowboy songs and going to Cowboy poetry symposiums....now I think that is all he does...ei...Cowboy Christmas etc.
Comments: Ryan Murphey...parents: Mike(Michael) and Diana.. Brennan( or Brendan) Murphey: parents...Mike and Mary. That's all I know about. I think he may have some 'stepkids'..but don't know for sure. There's some in the Mike and Karen(4th wife) family, too. I only know about the girls in that group.. Caroline, the second one, may be the Shaman...marriage, but don't remember for sure.. Ryan has kids, I think, and is an outstanding musician... Mike and Karen do make a very 'photographic couple'. They have connections with Michigan or Wisconsin. They also have a ranch near Amarillo.. I know a lot about the Murphey clan..but I have my limits.. I don't 'buddy-buddy' with MMM...JS..! 
Comments: Doesn't MMM have a grown son? I think he might play or used to play in M's band. Think his son must be from his first wife. Also, don't know what number wife it was, but a Shaman (I think maybe from the Lakota Tribe) married them. I'll say he's led an interesting life. Seeing the John Denver picture reminded me that I think there is a tribute to him every year in Aspen. I actually turned on Channel 13 last night and saw about 10 minutes of a John Denver concert from 1981. I'd forgotten what a beautiful, clear voice he had.
Comments: JS...you 'ninny'... I haven't kissed MMM since I was 15.. I was at his first wedding... to Diana. Didn't ever meet Caroline..Met Mary in Nashville years ago.. Have talked to Karen on FB.. They've been married a while.. I talked to his mother around Christmas. I asked her 'where was Mary'..? Mary got the ranch in Taos and money.. Karen appeared...later. Nice picture of those two.. I told his mother I was having trouble keeping up with his wives. She said they had the 'same problem'. Oh well, life goes on...! It is his birthday..I've known his birthday was in March, for years.. JS...you're just being ornery.. (Wonder if Char had a nice birthday...?) 
Comments: Hey.....thanks to all you young classmates for the Birthday wishes. I WAS in town for this beeuuuutiful day. I had a birthday lunch with Jan Willard Netherland and Margaret Williams Morris (mrs Skipper) at Brennan's. I think I shall have Birthday month!!!! :-) As for MMM....we Pisces are a talented school of fish! ;-)
Comments: Ginger, I hate to be the one to break this news to you, but MMM is kissin' on someone else these days. If we can believe Facebook, he is spending a lot of time with this gal named "Karen" (as he tries to pass himself off as John Denver?). 
Comments: Having my doubts that this is REALLY MMM's birthday, I snooped around on Facebook and located his FB page. In perusing the "About" section I was most surprised to learn he is a big fan of ME.

Comments: Well.....it's white, now.. After watching Dan Brown's Angels and Demons...twice, I pay more attention to their Conclave.. Not really impressed either way. If they had a 'bunch of drama' like the movie, I guess I would be more impressed. It's an Argentinian and a Jesuit, this time. Haven't heard his age, yet.. I'll watch the 5:30 news and the PBS Hour..they'll tell us.. I'll be more impressed if..they start ordaining 'women'.. That will be a 'snowy day in July'...when the Catholics and the Southern Baptists..do that..! Ha-a-a-a..!

Comments: Peaches, I did a computer search and found that Laura gave her email address on here as laurakay12@gmail.com. Her husband's name is Ron Schmidt, and she said she worked at Macy's. I hope this helps.
Comments: I have been updating our lists of classmates. I ran across the post from Laura Chovanetz Schmidt in August of 2010. Lynell, did you or anyone get an email or contact information from her? I would love to talk to her. Better yet, get her to our reunion. We remember you Laura. Come join us. I remember our days at Zumwalt well. I know there are probably others out there that have moved and i do not know. Several of you have emailed your new information and I really appreciate it. We work hard to keep our list as up to date as possible!
