When I have a few moments I will post my thoughts. Here are Larry McCord's.

My sister Mary's service was a true tribute to her life. Thanks to all who had a part in putting this together, especially her two children, Kent and Kari. Her granddaughter Ashley gave an outstanding tribute that was heartfelt and truly honored her Mimi for her character and her achievements. And her grandson Tristan played an original composition on his guitar in honor of her. Brandon Folt and the choir from First Presbyterian Church of Conroe, where Mary worked until her passing, honored her through music, the most appropriate choice. Last but not least, was the tribute offered by the presence of so many people from all walks of life...family, friends, coworkers and current and former students...who were touched by her life in some way. Thank you all for sharing in her life and her memorial. Though I tend to shy away from this type of sentiment, since we really have very little concept of what follows this existence, I did think while we were singing "Softly and Tenderly", which she and her sister Diane sang as a duet while in this life, that perhaps they were together singing it once again

Kathleen, we drove down to Conroe and stayed the night with the Maddox's and went to Mary's service. The service was beautiful, with the choir singing, her granddaughter's message about her grandmother and grandson who played a tribute to his Mimi on his guitar.  All was very touching and the slide show pictures they had of her touched all of us with the amazing life that Mary lived.  She was truly an amazing woman and will be missed by so many lives that she touched.  I am glad we made the trip to celebrate her life and the memories she has left us all with. It was a blessing for us all.

Did anyone go to Mary's Memorial Service today?  Maybe, you could commit on the service.   I may have missed it but does anyone have the address as to where we can send our donations for Mary's scholarship fund?

Please add Rodger Davis to our prayer list. He went to the VA hospital yesterday to have a test run on his throat. While there he had some strange feeings in his chest so they kept him overnight and are doing stress tests and possibly another test.

FRIENDS, this is a hard post! I NEED ALL THE PRAYERS YOU CAN SEND UP TO GOD. This is a SHOCKER! I just got report back from my Pelvic MRI from yesterday and there are lesions on the right pelvic bone and left hip bone. Report says cannot rule out metastisis due to history of breast cancer. Bone scan is scheduled early in the morning. I get the dye injection at 6:30, wait 3 hours for it to go through my body, then bone scan at 9:30. My doctors will have a report within a few hours after the scan.

I'm trying to be faithful and positive that this is NOT CANCER! But also, as you can imagine, on edge, worried, and shocked. All of my tests for 5 years have been perfect. And my tumor marker tests (which does something to test cancer "stirring") have been fantastic.

The MRI also showed bursitis in the hips and thighs and inflammation, so let's pray it's just lesions from that.

Your prayers are needed and appreciated. Mary Kay

So many people are getting their accounts hacked on FB...I'm thinking about getting out of there....scary stuff....I love keeping up with family and friends and seeing the great pictures....but is it worth the security risk???  Don't ever click on anything on FB...unless you check with the person sending it first.

I  didn't know Mary but reading all of your beautiful and touching posts along with Lonnie's video, and John's posting of the obituary and then reading the guest book on the obituary page: I feel that she was a wonderful woman and classmate to your class. I enjoyed watching the dancing and all of you having a good time on the video. It brought tears to my eyes just feeling the love in the room. God bless the family and friends of Mary Bach and I leave one of my favorite verses that helps me through the sad times in my life "I would have lost heart unless I knew that I will see the goodness of God in the land of the living." Psalm 27:13.

I'm so sorry to learn of Mary's passing.  Bless her heart; she will no longer suffer!  I sincerely appreciate Peaches, Mary Kay, Celi and everyone one else -- please do not be offended if someone's name is missed -- who has reached out and supported Mary and her family and kept the rest of informed and able to contribute at least the power of our collective prayers.

Whoever deleted the prior website just thought they'd erased it.  Go here http://www.techzoomin.com/like-to-see-what-your-favourite-website-looked-like-in-the-past/ and type in socbears.com.  Anything that happens on the web stays on the web, sort of like Las Vegas.

You'll have to look at an agreement page, then another screen will pop up with a calendar on it.  You may need to type the URL again. Click one of the highlighted dates, and you can see the old website.

Also, I saved our prior guestbook from this site with a link on our Fun Things page.

Many of our classmates have done a lot to keep us all together.  There have been plenty of labors of love!

Wanda, the first GB was started by the very talented Jerry and Patricia Vessels.  Bill and Lynell contributed to it (correct me here Lynell).  It was a wonderful site and at first geared to get us all involved and in touch for our 40th reunion. Gee. that was a long time ago...huh???   It was a beautiful web site.  Lynell wrote the front introductory page with wonderful memories of our days at SOC.  Sadly, after the reunion, it became mired with mean anonymous posts and plagued with spammers.  Then, somehow  it was mysteriously  TOTALLY ERASED  without a trace.  That was a very puzzling and sad day for all of us and especially the Vessels and all who had worked on it.  We went without a guest book for a while and then...tah dah..... Lynell volunteered to start a new one..this one (I can't imagine why she would do this thankless job except for her love for our class). THANK YOU LYNELL FOR TAKING THE TORCH and keeping us in touch with one another.

Welcome back to the guest book Wanda.

I have not been on our SOC 63 site in far too long.  I just spent a few minutes opening up all the different places we have.  If you have a few minutes, go read the Guest Column.  I had forgotten about writing a couple of columns there.  They are all good.  Go take a look at our Memoriam/Dedication page.  Smile at your memories and thank God for having been even a small part of all these wonderful people's and each other's lives.  If my information and my memory serves, Lynell Garrett Smith and Bill Akin started this site and other classes soon followed.  I won't stay gone so long again.
