Comments: Bill, unfortunately, that site was deleted by someone and I mean erased with no trace.…ahem. How awful was that? Sadly, I’m not sure that info can be found now. But, just maybe in some corner Of the web it is still there.
Comments: Lynell, Many years ago when this site was in its early beginnings, I developed a list of everyone (that we knew of anyway) that had served in the military. There was a Military page even. Is it possible that that info still exists in some old files you might have inherited when you took over the site? BTW, there was also info on SOCites who married SOCites.
Comments: What a great group of kids we were, as the Class of ‘63! Most of us have lived good lives with honor. I wish we had a list of all who served in the Military, and on the front lines in every respect. It’s been a good ride.
Comments: To all my brothers and sisters who served: Thank You, and Stand Tall and Walk Proud on this Veterans Day!
Comments: Charlotte, neither Gary or Johnny are selling them, so far Gary has been giving his away.
Comments: Oh my goodness. Wonderto hear about Gary and Johnny. Sounds great! Are they selling them? Ron, yes, I remember cruising Kristi park, but I was always with my boyfriend. 🤗
Comments: Does anyone remember Crusing Kiest park on a Sunday afternoon. Guys looking for girls...girls looking guys. Wow!! Some made it to lower kiest.
Comments: Tell Gary I can't kick or build bird houses. I'm glad I can still walk around. Keep up the good work Gary
Comments: Charlotte, Gary is busy making bird houses, each one is built and painted for all the state flags is the states we have traveled. A favorite one is the Texas flag, which we have made many and given away. He just finished Arizona and Kansas. We have many. Johnny Maddox is busy building them too, plus wooden Christmas trees and US Flags. Keeping the boys busy.
Comments: 🤪Tell Gary the Golden Debs aren’t kicking very high these days either.
Comments: Ron Johnson, Gary never reads the site or Facebook, but I read him your statement and he said yes he is still kicking, but not as high as Golden Deb. Living on Lake Texoma!

Comments: Ken has retained his vast knowledge of classical music, instilled early on in us Lancaster Road scholars by Mrs. Bickley.
Comments: It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of George Frayne.....better known to you as Commander Cody. He, along with his band the Lost Planet Airmen, sang such classic rock hits as Hot Rod Lincoln and Smoke! Smoke! Smoke! (that cigarette). Who could ever forget the classic lyrics: "Tell St Peter at the Golden Gate That you hate to make him wait But you just gotta have another cigarette"
Comments: Hey, Michael. Nice to see you post here!
Comments: Sharon: I rarely check our Website and was saddened by the passing of Steve. My comments are rather belated but you and your family are in my prayers. Mike Peters
Comments: Our friend Jana (Mrs. Milo) Milham has written a very interesting and informative book. It’s her true story, sometimes tearful, other parts hysterically funny. This is what she has to say about it: FINDING MY WAY explains the disease known as acromegaly from the patient's point of view; I am that patient. My acromegaly was caused by a pituitary tumor that was finally discovered by the physicians at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center in 1970. Since the pituitary is the master gland, there is nothing in the human body not affected by this disease. The book describes my pain and discomfort, as well as the care that I received from the physicians at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center and the Metabolic Center at the University of California in San Francisco. The publisher is sending a copy of my book to every medical school library (Private/Public) in the United States and Canada. Additionally, he is sending several hundred copies to Oklahoma High Schools. The book can be purchased by contacting me j.milham12@gmail.com for a check, cash, or money order exchange.. The price is $20.00 + $2.00 shipping. Jana Spottswood Milham
Comments: This link goes to the first round of guest author posts. http://soc63.com/guestcolumns/guestcolumnarchivesi.html
Comments: I have just spent maybe the most enjoyable 30 minutes (or so) reading again the stories we have in the Guest Columns section. The post from Charlotte led me to this. I had not looked at that section in quite a few years, but I found myself lost there as I began to read, not just the post about Mary Gene, but EVERY post there. What I discovered was, not only a treasure trove of reminders about our "growing up" years, but so many names of our classmates that have left us way too early. Some are folks that I have known since I moved to Dallas just before the start of the 3rd grade at Clinton P. Russell. Mary Gene Florence, Danny Green, Benny Hemphill, Wanda Scroggins Liford, Barney Kemp, Jerry Vessels, Ginger Hearn, Roddy Schoenfeldt, Mary McCord and Beverly Duvall Haas (officially from the class of '65, but well connected to us.) I hope I didn't forget anyone. They are no longer here physically, but a flood of great memories because of that 30 minutes will keep me smiling for hours.
Comments: Charlotte, Mary Gene was smart! And she was a nice girl. Her funeral was beautifully done, and the speaker was her minister son. A life well lived. Belated happy birthday wishes to Patricia!
Comments: Lynell, I just read the guest column about Mary Gene Florence. It brought back so many fond memories. Thank you Jim Stegall for writing it. Mary Gene and I attended Cliff Temple together. Our mothers were both very involved in our church. We both were in the choir there and in Sunday school together. Oh, and also GA’s. She was much smarter than I, but somehow we remained friends until graduation sent us in different directions. I, too, was saddened at her death, but my sweet memories of her live on.
