Comments: SOC 7-0 on a fourth and 6 yds! Uniforms sure are different than when we went!
Comments: I’m so excited and nervous! Betting on the Golden Bears to win big Saturday! Go SOC, win State!
Comments: I cant believe no one has posted today. CONGRATULATIONS to the football team beating Lubbock and going to state!
Comments: Ken, I agree about the map! That would be so interesting! I’m we all still remember where various friends lived that we could add to the map.
Comments: Dennis and Ronald, hang in there. ❤️ Thanks for posting.
Comments: Hi, Mike Peters! Chime in here.
It seems some flippers have figured out our part of Oak Cliff was ten minutes from downtown, and the lots were large. It’s great to see this happening!
Comments: $13,000 WOW! It would be great to have a map from1963 that showed where all the SOC kids lived. In October of 1966 (I had just turned 21 and Beverly had just turned 20), we paid $400 to assume a loan for $14,500 on a house in Polk Terrace. That house is now valued at $109,860.
Comments: Charlotte Anders and Ginger Hearne lived on Vanette
Comments: Ken and Lynell, I lived at 3905 Fortune Lane. My parents bought the house new for $13,000. Charlotte lived on Vanette.
Comments: Wow, Leftnell, guess we should have held out a little longer before selling. I noticed 3810 Fortune Ln for sale for $227,900.... Beverly lived across the street at 3811. Also noticed several houses on Vanette..didn't Charlotte Mac live on that street?
Comments: I lost my bookmark for the Class of 63. I can search online and get to this guest book but I'd like to see the main site also. Can someone provide me the URL please. Thanks. Mike Peters 175 Haigh Road Glenville, NY 12302 518.986.0814 peterssloan@gmail.com
Comments: Ken, time Dallas should do like NYC: PS 47, etc. It would save a lot of debate and a few taxpayer bucks. Meanwhile, for some real fun look up real estate 75216.
Comments: John Lewis Social Justice Academy at O.W. Holmes now joins H.I. Holland Elementary School at Lisbon A lot more changes ahead as DISD is 5.8% White, 21.6% Black, 1.2% Asian, and 69.8% Hispanic/Latino
Comments: O. W. Holmes has been renamed. You may need to google the story if interested.
Comments: Robert, In 2000 they told me 5% chance with head and neck cancer 2009 came back and they said zero chance. Lots of prayer and 4years of chemo. I refused to give up....hang in there
Comments: In times like these that we are living through I want to encourage each of you to not lose hope as God is with us. He took me down memory lane today and reminded me of all the times he had his hand on me. From childhood to today's times. Time is running short as to whether God will rescue this Nation or take us home to be with him.
Comments: Wishing all SOCites a happy, peaceful and healthy Thanksgiving!
Comments: Bill Akins, I just saw this. I will need to look through my dusty archives. It’s likely "somewhere."
Comments: Robert, I am truly sorry to hear how you still fighting cancer. I need to call you sometime in the next few days and catch up. Prayers for recovery.
Comments: To my first boyfriend at dear ole Lisbon, I send my hope and my prayers that you beat this dreadful disease named cancer. I know you and LaVeta will perserver this, and I thank God each time someone wins over the disease.
Comments: Robert, we are so sorry you are going through that awful cancer, keep fighting. I agree with you, we do live very close, call Gary any time you feel like us meeting up, would love to visit with you both. Much love sent your way.
Comments:

Comments: Damn 78 years old yesterday still fighting the big C hope every one is doing well. Tanya we live to close to not see each other.
Comments: Bill, unfortunately, that site was deleted by someone and I mean erased with no trace.…ahem. How awful was that? Sadly, I’m not sure that info can be found now. But, just maybe in some corner Of the web it is still there.
Comments: Lynell, Many years ago when this site was in its early beginnings, I developed a list of everyone (that we knew of anyway) that had served in the military. There was a Military page even. Is it possible that that info still exists in some old files you might have inherited when you took over the site? BTW, there was also info on SOCites who married SOCites.
Comments: What a great group of kids we were, as the Class of ‘63! Most of us have lived good lives with honor. I wish we had a list of all who served in the Military, and on the front lines in every respect. It’s been a good ride.
Comments: To all my brothers and sisters who served: Thank You, and Stand Tall and Walk Proud on this Veterans Day! |
