Barry, Best wishes. good news that you feel good.
You know the ‘ol saying. “If you don’t like the weather in Texas, wait a minute”.  That seems to be what is happening to my area also. Freezing temps then warm again. I had little wildflowers blooming before the last freeze. Plants are very confused along with butterflies. ……and I am too as to what to wear each day. Haaaa.

I’m just thinking about our ages……hard to believe to me. I’m just happy to have another year, but , Oh, the aches and pains come along with those years now.

Belated best wishes for the Holidays.  I'll be glad when the weather makes up its mind-cold one day wind from the north, warm the next day with strong south wind. Before long it will be hot all the time and I'll be longing for cooler weather.  I just wish we could get some rain!
I'm still getting stuck with needles and taking some unbeliebably expensive cancer pills.  I'm just glad that Joan has good health insurance.  Without it, these pills would be $30,000 a month.  With insurance, the copay is only $85.
I'm feeling as good as a 77 yr old overweight guy has a right to feel and we feel blessed.  In a few weeks, we plan to visit the Gulf coast for a couple of weeks and might even go fishing!
Take care and you guys are in my thoughts and prayers every day.

Merry Christmas to all as we celebrate the GREATEST GIFT of all Jesus Christ. By the way I always thought that Ginger Hearn lived on the same street as I Ewing. God Bless.

Hey all,
yes, I lived on Vanette lane and so did Karen Jones, Ginger
Hearn, Clyde Aiklen (probably spelled Clyde's last name
wrong) and Sherry Locke. Maybe a few more.
I've seen some houses for sale on
Vanette Lane for 7 times what we paid for ours. It was a nice street with pretty trees etc.
BY THE WAY, i hate what they've done to South Oak Cliff school.
I watched the football game. Good for them. But, I do not consider it my high school anymore. Ours is gone.

Ken, I agree about the map! That would be so interesting! I’m we all still remember where various friends lived that we could add to the map.

Hi, Mike Peters! Chime in here.

Ken, I have student directories from our era, plus a Humble Happy Motoring map from back then. See, when you’re a pack rat (David’s words) you have all sorts of cool junique.

It seems some flippers have figured out our part of Oak Cliff was ten minutes from downtown, and the lots were large. It’s great to see this happening!

Today I had lunch with Martha Bass Hunt at her retirement place. Martha looks great, and we had fun — just like first grade. What a warrior Martha is.

$13,000 WOW! It would be great to have a map from1963 that showed where all the SOC kids lived. In October of 1966 (I had just turned 21 and Beverly had just turned 20), we paid $400 to assume a loan for $14,500 on a house in Polk Terrace. That house is now valued at $109,860. [rolleyes]

Ken and Lynell, I lived at 3905 Fortune Lane. My parents bought the house new for $13,000. Charlotte lived on Vanette.

Wow, Leftnell, guess we should have held out a little longer before selling. I noticed 3810 Fortune Ln for sale for $227,900.... Beverly lived across the street at 3811. Also noticed several houses on Vanette..didn't Charlotte Mac live on that street?

I lost my bookmark for the Class of 63.  I can search online and get to this guest book but I'd like to see the main site also.  Can someone provide me the URL please.  Thanks.

Ken, time Dallas should do like NYC: PS 47, etc. It would save a lot of debate and a few taxpayer bucks.

Meanwhile, for some real fun look up real estate 75216.

In times like these that we are living through I want to encourage each of you to not lose hope as God is with us. He took me down memory lane today and reminded me of all the times he had his hand on me. From childhood to today's times. Time is running short as to whether God will rescue this Nation or take us home to be with him.
