Way to go Charlotte and Sam, I totally agree, and I, too, have LEGAL Mexican American family members.  Our country needs to wake up before it is too late.

The reason that they don't file for income tax refunds, Kathleen, is because they don't file income tax forms, because the SS# is bogus.  If you can't confirm the income, or who the person is, then the basis for a conclusion that they put in more than they take out is absolutely bogus.  We're spending over $11,000 per child per year for education.  Just one child being educated who has illegal parents, who probably don't pay taxes, will tilt that report right over the edge.  Oh yeah, I forgot about free hospital care, etc, etc.  I have an issue with even accounting for how many illegals there are.  I think the government says about 11 million.  If they know that, then deport them.  You failed to mention, Kathleen that the supposed U. S. Chamber report is predicated on a study of people breaking federal law.  I just saw a report where ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is now saying they probably won't deport illegals turned over to them by the State of Arizona under its new law.  Take a deep breath folks......and comprehend how outrageous this administration is, how incompetent they are, and remember you were promised CHANGE.  You got it!       

Agreed Betty and Sara  AND hi to both of you.   C'mon.......the Chamber of Commerce of where...California?  haaaaaaa!!  I guess that includes Food stamps, free school, free breakfast and lunch, after school programs, bilingual class, free ER, Medicaid etc etc etc.  Tell that to Arizona!  One little minor detail.......they don't pay IN to the system either.  I hope you can see the danger of our open border....not just the drain on YOUR tax money. I also have LEGAL Mexican American family members so don't go there with me either!

Let's see now...in a 30-minute time frame yesterday I heard a foreign leader speak against our country and its leaders WHILE IN our country addressing its leaders...a young boy was scolded and dismissed from school for wearing Rosary beads in honor of deceased relatives WHILE OTHERS at the school wore bandanas and gang-related items...a home-grown terrorist LIVING IN the U.S. has been funneling money out of the U.S to aid terrorism in the U.S., but sympathy is given by most news channels because of problems he's had in his life!(give me a break) He wasn't scolded or dismissed from anything that I know of. GOOD GRIEF. How can anyone think this is coming from sound minds who give themselves daily for the good of the people?!?!? And how could our Congress applaud a leader from Mexico as he reprimands our citizens when he/they know full well what happens to illegals in their country who disobey their laws? Like Prison, or worse!! At this point, venting seems the Christian thing to do. BTW: I have Mexican/American relatives. Don't go there.

Obama said yesterday, with regards to Mexico, that "borders don't matter, bonds do".  Would those be Treasury Bonds, Mr. President, or what? (sarc)  Borders do matter.  Securing them to protect one's citizens is the most basic responsibility of a government.   If you have any problem with the concept, Mr. President, ask the State of Arizona.  They've given up on you, and realize it's their responsibility to their citizens to secure the borders.     

Every politician we have had in Washington and Austin has stayed away from the immigration "thingy" for the last 40 or so years, which is one reason there are such issues today. 

The only thing dumber than allowing a foreign leader to speak before the U. S. Congress and berate the Arizona Immigration Law, or any of our laws, is half the Congress standing up and applauding.  This administration is such a bunch of radical amateurs that they're laughable.  Where do I vote???   Is that the MIDDLE you're talking of Ginger, half standing and half not?  That balances out, that makes it in the middle, doesn't it?

Ginger, how can I say nicely to get a grip!  Geez, right now the world is not operating in your comfort zone, IN THE MIDDLE.  Jack is concerned with what his granddaughter is being taught in school in Illinois.  That progressive curriculum is what these "crazies", as you call them, are addressing in Austin with the textbook hearings right now.  Your "can't we all be friends" concept isn't working too well Ginger.   PS:  continue to boycott Austin while it boycotts Arizona.   

Re; wackos in public schools. My granddaughter is in Peoria, IL. The school has brainwashed her young mind. A few examples; anybody who has a car is bad, people who use air conditioners are bad, people who use a gas lawn mowers are bad. These people are killing the planet. It is OK to use heating oil to heat your house. They have this kid scared that by the time she is able to vote the earth will be dead. So much for the liberals being in charge.

Why am I not surprised that the media jumped on this Governor's "MANSION?" thing?  AND to think Pres Obama spent more than $350K to take his wife on a date for one night in NY!  hmmmmmmmmm!  I wonder how much it costs the tax payers to house and run the White House?  Puleeez!

When I was in h.s., I had a date with a North Texas fellow who had groovy blue lights like that under his dash.  I had learned from reading Cosmopolitan Magazine that the word college was uncool, and that one said school instead.  I said, "What classes are you taking in school?"  He replied, "I don't go to SCHOOL, <you bozo> I go to COLLEGE."  Never heard from him after that one date.  So much for my dating tips.  The lights were, however, cool.
