I love how you moved the lights, Johnny.  And the Farouk Shami hair care products he gave all Woodlands political supporters is really working well.  I like the mullet.

Is that really your car...JS...?  Honest...?   Isn't MacGruber suppose to be really silly..?

Being as I've worked in our very dysfunctional school systems..I'm not really sure 'which' side is trying to destroy/ control the public school systems.. Now I'm not sure what this country has in mind if...we totally destroy the public school systems... Maybe a 'slavery' system...!  Well..that didn't work..!
***I'm thinking a 'small cabin' in the mountains of Appalachia might be safer..

Memo to Tenpenny & Hearn:

Let me clarify - the Miata's lights are under the dashboard, not the undercarriage. Also, the neon color is not so much lavendar ... closer to what one would commonly call Polar Ice Gatorade (a coolish blue - see pic below).

I'm sure by now that most of you have been to see the new movie "MacGruber" in which the mullet-wearing hero drives a red 1991 Miata and is especially protective of his car stereo which is removeable (see pic). I'm not sure if he's installed neons yet?

Probably the scariest thing is that education is one more aspect of our lives, and liberties, that the federal government is trying to get control of.  Let's all sing "MMM...MMM......MMM...Barack Hussein Obama".  Stay focused on what the big prize is folks, and don't let them have it.

Ginger, I couldn't agree with you more about the textbook situation. The state school board members are now appointed by the governor and not elected by the people, as in the past. Unfortunately, there is a concerted effort for extreme groups to control education by eliminating the public schools or by using extreme measures to control what the teacher teaches. Some states are starting to boycott textbooks printed in Texas..

I have never seen a Miata with purple 'underlights' on it.. Send me a picture please.. We have the bigger 'cahs' here with those.....'In The Ghetto' , but no Miatas..
I have a request for you Texans, actually living in Texas.. Would you please run those people out of Texas that think they can control what goes in Texas'  textbooks that adheres to their form of religion/ faith/ crazies...whatever you want to call it...!
It's just 'flat out embarassing' to think that there are those kind of people in my home state...! Please don't send them to Tennessee, either..  We have our own brand of crazies here...In The Ghetto...  Oh my goodness...Life is never boring, is it...?                 ( I love the 'eek', JS...)

Cuz, good thing you didn't have to go to court at night, in a pimped up Miata with that lavender lighting on the undercarriage.  Might have changed the judge's opinion.  Nice work, Dru.........Speaking of the TEA Party, how 'bout that Rand Paul???  He delivered the TEA Party's message that "we have come to take our government back".

Wow JS, this defense of her ticket just put another feather in her war bonnet!!  I'm impressed!!  Since she is about to have a total knee replacement, did she limp into the court room with crutches??  That would have added a nice touch to the drama, but knowing Dru, she was armed only with her photos & since of right & wrong!!  Give her kudos for me!!

JS and Dru, good for you for seeing due process through.  Dru's decent car -- and your ritzy ZIP code, easily obtained through her legit plates -- indicated to the patrol person that you'd pay that fine without a squabble.  My advice: Print your own expired cardboard tag, shoot the windshield a couple times with a .22 to give the car authenticity, and park anywhere you like.

For some fun, go to www.spokeo.com and type in your phone no.  Then note the nifty aerial photo of your house, along with both correct and inaccurate information.  The privacy button is located bottom right.  I had to remove my African-American male Sagitarian self several times.  Makes me wonder what Spokeo is up to.

Spent a long afternoon in traffic court today offering moral support as Dru had her opportunity to present her case to the District Attorney.

On a rainy day in February she received a parking ticket at Lone Star College. The fine was an astonishing $550. Campus Security rolled three violations into one large citation ... blocking a crosswalk, impeding a so-called handicap access point, and parking in a fire zone.

To her credit, with a series of photos Dru staged a convincing argument based on:
-- poorly maintained signage (almost unreadable)
-- failure to properly identify the fire zone
-- failure to properly identify said handicap access ramp
-- bad weather affecting visibility
-- lack of adequate parking spaces due to new construction which eliminated over 300 previously accessible spaces

The D.A. decided to dismiss all three violations and all fines. However the day wasn't without "punishment". We spent 3 1/2 hours waiting for her turn. The cases were heard in alphabetical order. They get you one way or another (in Time or Dollars).

There's all kinds of 'everything'..  Liberal, moderate...who knows.. I worked for this Jewish man years ago. He's a member of the  orthodox synagogue, here. He calls 'ham',  Pink Turkey...!
There's so-called ultra conservative politicians that are members of anti-gay groups and then they have a 'boy friend' on the side..!  The former Tn. Senator at my Methodist church was a SS teacher and was leading a 'double life with an intern...It's a weird world out there... Maybe there are some moderate Muslims out there.. The fact that she's glamorous, in a beauty pageant, wearing skimpy bathing suits and not...'burkas' (spelling) shows you 'something' is up...

The observation that she was pretty...was my 'observation'. That was not a 'call to arms'...Char..

HMMM?  Did I say she wasn't pretty.....if so, I didn't mean to..she is pretty..........Oh, and I guess you are right G, she did sit for those X rated photo shots and parade around in a bikini..I suppose she is not very Muslim after all.

She is quite pretty, Charlotte. They showed a clip on the Today Show, this morning..Sounded intelligent, too.
People can practice Buddhism and Christianity.. In fact, I think they go together.. The Buddhist Path is a peaceful path and Buddha is/was not a god/ God...
The Muslim faith is like Old Testament 'stuff' with Mohammed...added..Same God of old... The Muslims just get all 'weirded' out...I think.. If there's Christians in the same house or they all profess to be Christians, I suppose they can blend the stuff...'Moderate' Muslims and Moderate Christians...might make it..  We knew a couple in Nashville, that the wife was Christian and the husband was Jewish...so they went to the Unitarian Universalist Church... Nobody is going to 'mess' with them there....Haaaaaa.!

Okay..........I am not racial profiling here, but an Arab Muslim..ahem....American/Christian won the Miss USA pageant...I know that it is nothing but a cheese cake/modeling pageant, but it gets a lot of press because of it.  Question, how can her family practice Muslim and Christian faith at the same time as she says?????  Anyway, I'm just sayin............

I watch a little of everything, but I look forward to "Friday Night Lights".  Also, Mentalist, Saving Grace, Burn Notice, Castle.  I actually stayed up late to watch an HBO Movie last night - "61" which is about the competition between Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris in 1961 to see who would break the Babe's record for homers.  Really good movie that I think has been around a few years.

Hey, Jud, I think we looked spiffy!

Now, you're talking...! The Mentalist, both NCIS', Big Bang Theory, and a little of CSI... I'm growing a little tired of that one.. I love Craig Ferguson...Late, Late Show. The only thing is I have to wait till the News and Letterman's over before I can see Craig.. Can't always stay awake...
Oooh..Grace the Redhead...That would be weird...

Regarding "The Mentalist", one of my many warm, close, personal Hollywood contacts has advised me that Patrick Jane's nemesis (Red John) will turn out to be the saucy redhead Grace Van Pelt [hence the "red" in Red John]. You heard it here first.

Of course, this same source is the one who recently misspelled Julia Louis-Dreyfus' name on her new Hollywood Walk of Fame star [Julia Luis Dreyfus?].
