Lynell, I forgot yesterday in my post to congratulate you on the new look of your Guestbook.  You guys will continue to have a great time here.  I doubt very seriously if it is necessary for guests from other classes to point out the limits of humor that should be posted here.  Sorta like trying to keep other people's houses in order for them.   If Cousin Johnny and Ken Haas are embraced here as funny, I know there's hope!  LOL.  everyone have a great day.

Thank you all for the kind words.  I think I need to go to remedial picture-posting school -- or I should just stick to smiley faces for a while

Here's a picture I took this morning from my front porch -- coffee in one hand, camera in the other, big fuzzy houseshoes on my feet.  Maybe the better picture would have been of ME.

Namaste, Claudia... May we all see the light within you...And you too, Ms. Char-Char.
There is humor, which is very important..Comics poke fun at themselves and everybody else...I think John provokes conversation...This site has a good time with conversation and humor.. The preaching goody-goody stuff  'stifles' people..
I'm from a family that has served the people through the churches for several generations. I worked in West and South Dallas with kids at the age of 13. My grandfather opened a mission and clinic in West Dallas in the 30's with the help of Park Cities Bapt. and other churches... We live that kind of life, we don't talk goody-goody.
I still tutor in one of the 'worst' neighborhoods in Memphis...Not very many 'little Christian white women'  go into these neighborhoods..
**John, I say, keep on, keeping on...I like your humor.. And if it provokes thought and conversation, I might just say 'braindead'..Namaste all... It's cold here too, Char.

Nothing special to share. I just wanted to post a smiley for Southworth.

Lets remember that all we post here is on the INTERNET (a sometimes scary place) and is open to all who want to read here.  I rarely visit other guest books because of time, but the other guest books are what they are.  Of course, I think ours is special.  As long as the poster signs first and last name and owns what he or she posts, then post it. Whether one is being LOUDLY reminded to be kinder to others(seems I remember that one well...ha!) or just posting happenings.  We are not talking in private but to the world.

Thanks again Lynell for this new GB...It seems MUCH easier to use than FB..........whoa!  I need a course "FB for Dummies"

Brrrrrrrrrrr it is cold here...However, I am going to NYC on Sunday and taking my down coat!

Actually, I hope I even get there.

Wishing all a Happy Hallmark Day...oh, I mean... Happy Valentine's  !!!!

Thank you for the opportunity to post on your new guest book.  I may be a bit slow, but I'm having a hard time understanding why some folks find it necessary to be  condescending and critical of other schools and other classes who make an effort to stay connected...The reference to the Adamson class as being "brain dead" and the SOC '62 class being referenced as "the Golden Grouches"...thanks John...not funny.  Even our own self-proclaimed "ambassador" comes over here with an heir of superiority toward his own classmates and makes negative comments under the guise of humor.  Is that the calling of a true ambassador?  I like this class and I love Mary Kay, my little Deb sister.  What I don't like is people who pretend to be "good" while talkin' trash as if they are funny.  For those who want to say I have lost my sense of humor...that is not the case...these things are not funny, nor are they nice.  Thanks again for your time!

Thank you, Barry, and everyone else who has posted today.  I'll bet you are our own darlin' Barry Gibbs.

A gentle reminder -- Please use your first AND last names when posting on this guestbook.  It's a way of protecting us from scary internet stuff -- like posts from Barry White, Barry Manilow, Barry Goldwater, Barry Obama -- the list goes on and on!

I'm happy to see this guest book perking along nicely.  I think we're going to like it more than the one that just dumped us so ungraciously.  Sandy SNL Lynn from '66 is advising me on some of the intricacies, so please bear with me during this learning curve.

Mr.  Southworth, if you don't like the  faces here, you're probably going to be real unhappy when you see the one I painted on your Miata.

Our class is fortunate to have hung together all these years.  I will always believe that we grew up in a special place and time.

I hope everyone will continue to chime in and support this and other guest books -- including the great one that Ronnie Jones has created for our friends on the other side of Illinois who went to Adamson.  Brain dead they are NOT.

Everyone stay warm this afternoon!

Way to go Lynell.  Updates are never bad and love that we have spellcheck available.

John - this featured Guest-book should be no problem to you as you are pretty familiar with it already....smiley faces are not.

Good going.  Just in case anyone might not be familiar with it, the Class of 65 has a new site in honor of the reunion this year.  Please visit at www.soc65.com.  You can find a lot of music and things from our history over there that may be of interest to you.

Cousin Johnny, all these faces jumping around makes me feel like Pacman is about to chew up the screen.  So, for politics, news, religion and family bickering, continue to quietly slip over to SOC '62, where everyone is welcome.  Well not everyone it seems.  I know you've had issues, and poor Kathleen and Steve from the Great Northwest, and Tommy and a few others, but it was just a momentary mood that they got over.  PLEASE LET ME POINT OUT, HOWEVER, THAT THIS IS HUMOR.  IT'LL SAVE THE NEED TO REPRINT IT ON SOC '62.

Pretty slick new Guestbook, Lynette!

Is there a way for you to disable the "smiley face" function? That icon is sooooo eighties. I am prone to seizures every time I see one.

Having my late morning coffee and feeling very envious of our globe-trotting classmates. Jud is on that all-male cruise off the coast of Dubai and Ada Jenkins Mooney is taking in the sights in London.

I must say our new Guestbook elevates us even further above the Class of '62's site (home of the Golden Grouches). As they say in Latvia "Cousin Sam, eat out your heart!".

Okay, I'll be nice... I know Ron Jones / Adamson, does a lot on their guestbook, it's just that the people that write in on Adamson's, are 'braindead' except for a few..Ron can add all kinds of things on their site.. I'm glad 'Wonder Woman...Lynell' has done this.. Sometimes it's a 'good thing' when you break up!!
I'm so glad that SOC63' people, are not braindead!!! Sandra Fant /Adamson is quite entertained by our conversations,  among others..( The SOC62' people seem to be quite passive!!)

Great job Lynell (does Lynell mean "works well under pressure"?). Thank you for all the time you put into keeping us in touch with each other and for making us sign our full names.  I think this is the best of all the SOC guest books.  Guess they won't invite me to join the Class of "66 now.

Hi, everybody.

Welcome to the brand-new SOC 63 guestbook!  The operators of the former guestbook e-mailed a break up letter to me.  Don't worry -- I've copied all those pearls of wisdom from the old guestbook and will have them ready to publish soon.  I'll link it to the website.

If you have the former guestbook saved in your Favorites, you'll need to change it to this one instead.  The former guestbook will no longer be accessible.

Note that this fancy new rig has bells and whistles -- like Spellcheck, smiley faces, pictures.  We'll figure it out!  Have fun, and WELCOME!

We have one rule.  SIGN YOUR NAME.  This means your first and last name.  Because of the scary nature of the internet and for the safety of all, anonymous and partially signed messages will be deleted.
