OK. This snow is starting to annoy me. I've had to go outside three times today to sweep the snow off the satellite dish so we could watch TV.

Brian Williams on the NBC News said that Dallas had a problem.. We're waiting for Miss. and Haley Barbour to have a problem!!  You-all heard that name before??? I don't think of terms of endearment when I think of Haley Barbour..
One of my tutor students has to write a paper on an African-American politician. Can't use Obama... I told her to google Shirley Chisholm of Texas.. and write the paper on her...
You people stay WARM down in Texas. Bye...

Charlotte, what I meant to say was that chili without beans is just marinara sauce, isn't it?  Official snowfall today at DFW airport is 7.3 inches.

*The governor of Mississippi has declared Ms. in a state of emergency because a winter storm 'might' hit tonight...?? You-all watch the national news, Weather Channel, whatever?? We live in a tri-state area..So MS. is part of our weather/tv etc..stuff.. They do 'crazy' things like that around here. Declare states of emergency and no emergency has hit!! Close the schools when there is no snow or ice in sight, yet..

I like the jackasses, Char.. They look very sweet! Love them...

*(It's nearly as weird as John having seizures over the smileys!)

My Dear John, what girl would turn down a date with you! I look forward to dining with you on the 20th...I plan to arrive early so as to be ahead of Betty.  John, this is the chance of a lifetime...I now can prove to you just how wrong you have been...I am both witty and fun and far from the "grouch" you perceive me to be. We may be dining in the midst of "grouches" but you will see that I'm not one of them! Seriously, I'm just anticipating the moment! Hugs!

Gingerjar, I like pinto and black beans....just not in my chili.  Ouida puts pinto, black AND ranch style beans in her chili home concoction.  Of course, I will eat bean chili if it is not too hot....don't like my chili hot either.

Sam, that was Gingerjar that said that about spaghetti sauce.

Still raining here....dreary!

I like beans, Char. I like Black Beans and Pintos... I hate Kidney Beans!! Braindead people must eat Kidney Beans..   They are tasteless and disgusting... Don't tell me you like Kidney Beans....!

The next thing I want to try in the Chili...is liquor..I've never done it..Or specifically some kind of wine.. I've always wanted to go to Terlingua, to the Chili Cookoff..

Thank you for the compliment John.  Here is my definition for Jackass:

Jacks are laid back and self-preserving in nature. They prefer to do what is good for themselves, which is not always what the JS thinks is best. They are very friendly, and their nature makes them excellent for children

I wish I knew how to post a photo of Happy and Lucky here to punctuate my point.

Love you, C

A tip of the hat to Ms. Claudia Kenngott for so generously giving of her time to vividly illustrate my point regarding the term "Golden Grouches".

My original plan was to use the term "Chronic Complainers" but it seemed more fitting to go with Golden Grouches, thereby blending the school colors with the subtle innuendo that her class has indeed entered its "golden", (albeit cranky) years.

Claudia, I'll try to save you a seat at the Feb. 20 Belmont dinner if Betty Gibbs doesn't beat you to it.

Also, let me say a big "Thank You" to Sharon Reeves and Ambassador Tenpenny for NOT doing the 'smiley face' thingy. As for the rest of you jackasses .... well ....

Why expect me to put my last name when I couldn't even turn Caps Lock off?  I only wish it were a few degrees colder. I live for days like that when I can push that "4H" button on the dash and see the terror in the faces of the lesser equipped and smaller vehicles.  I know, I know I can't stop or turn any better but I can sure get away from the traffic lights in style.

The only time prior to today that I have seen such a beautiful snowfall was on a ski trip to Red River about 14 years ago.  We had a foot of snow and it was great until we had to start driving home.  At least I had a 4-wheel drive Jeep back then.  I think tomorrow may be an ice day for me.

WOW! Miss a couple of days and you miss a lot!  I am at my son's house using his computer because mine is in the shop.  Lynell, you are the very best!  Thank you so very much for your dedication to this site.  Hope yall are staying inside and keeping warm.  We already have about 3 inches, but don't think we will get much more and so far, no ice.  Please take care!

John, "If you can't say something nice..." .  If you don't like the smiley faces, don't use them.  It is foolish of you to try to convince those of us that have known you for so long that the smiley faces are what cause your seizures   , but if that is truly the case it is a easy fix.  Just don't look at them.
