Bill, what a wonderful story about your 97-yr-old aunt. People in their nineties are fantastic. They know so much, and by that age they are ready to talk. Glad y’all had fun! 

2215 Volga is for sale. Anybody grow up in that area? I tried without success to copy the link. One of my peculiar hobbies is to check out 75216 real estate. You’ll need to type that address into your browser to see the pictures. Gaye Nell Crockett and Ken Haas both lived on Volga, and there may be others. 

On a very happy note, our anonymous benefactor (Charlotte) has generously paid for three more years of this website. Thank you, dear friend to the Class of ‘63!

Donna and I are fine. Thanks for asking, Lynell. We're just trying to keep cool. but it really has been an unusually "cool" summer so far.
We driving to Miller Grove, TX today (about 95 miles east of here) to take my 97 year-old aunt Mary Lou to lunch. She is the only one of 14 aunts and uncles that is still with us, and she is probably in better health than any cousins or other relatives I have. She and my mom were best of friends after she married my uncle and got into the Akins family. They were close in age (mom was a year older) and both named Mary Lou.
There are no places to eat lunch in Miller Grove, so we will take her to her favorite TexMex joint in Sulpher Springs.

There will be a graveside service for Steve on Wednesday, the 28th, at 9:00 a.m. at Restland.  I had not planned to have anything but his brothers wanted to come up from the Houston area and several of the young men he mentored over the years wanted something.  It will be totally adlib and will not last long. The service is in the Garden of Reflections in the newer phase across the street from the funeral home itself.

Hey guys.  Just a quick note to let you know that Steve passed this morning.  He had been in a nursing home since suffering a coronary in May 2020, but was in the hospital with pneumonia last month when he suffered another coronary.  He'd been in ICU for over a month and his frail body just gave it up.  There will be no service.  Give hugs to all your loved ones.

Don‘t you find it incredible that you and I still have teeth, and that neither of us has to be dragged kicking and screaming into modern day dental offices? (Well, I don’t. Can’t say for you.) I’ve told young whippersnapper dentists my memories and they think I’m nuts  

Hope your hand has made a full recovery, and that Dr. HughBo has you lined up for Round Two. 

Yes‘m, Charlotte, Shirley Glenn Lam had a fantastic life! I met her at a SOC Christmas party. So sweet and friendly.

Margaret Leftnell, there have been numerous sightings of the aforementioned van driving around the Lisbon area of Oak Cliff. Recent medical journal articles indicate that Dr Proctor is specializing in hemorrhoid treatments...specifically sales of Dr Proctor's Rectum Rockets and other sphincter related solutions. It's been a while since you and I were visiting Dr Hamby's dental dungeon and torture chamber at Chester Clinic. Right?

After witnessing the futile efforts of Charlotte Mac to post a legible and coherent post, I have a few suggestions:
1) Attach an alcohol/drug detecting app to the guest column.
2) Have C-Mac provide proof that she actually graduated from SOC.
3) Start a Go-Fund me page to secure funds for a wellness check to be performed by a certified mental health worker.
