Comments: Bill, what a wonderful story about your 97-yr-old aunt. People in their nineties are fantastic. They know so much, and by that age they are ready to talk. Glad y’all had fun! 2215 Volga is for sale. Anybody grow up in that area? I tried without success to copy the link. One of my peculiar hobbies is to check out 75216 real estate. You’ll need to type that address into your browser to see the pictures. Gaye Nell Crockett and Ken Haas both lived on Volga, and there may be others. On a very happy note, our anonymous benefactor (Charlotte) has generously paid for three more years of this website. Thank you, dear friend to the Class of ‘63!
Comments: Donna and I are fine. Thanks for asking, Lynell. We're just trying to keep cool. but it really has been an unusually "cool" summer so far.
Comments: Everyone doing okay? It’s hot outside!
Comments: Sharon, you did not mention his gravside when we talked on Sunday (I think). I just now opened to our website.
Comments: Sharon, my sincere condolences on the loss of your husband, Steve. You have been a wonderful, wife, daughter, caretaker and nurse for many years, all while working. You are extraordinary. I’m not in Texas, and I’m sorry I couldn’t come to Dallas today. You are in my prayers and I love you!
Comments: My love and prayers for you, Roomie. I know that you took care of your Mom and then Steve. That was a big task and you did the very best you could. It is an honor to know you and you're a great person. Please take care and know you are loved.
Comments: There will be a graveside service for Steve on Wednesday, the 28th, at 9:00 a.m. at Restland. I had not planned to have anything but his brothers wanted to come up from the Houston area and several of the young men he mentored over the years wanted something. It will be totally adlib and will not last long. The service is in the Garden of Reflections in the newer phase across the street from the funeral home itself.
Comments: Sharon, so sorry for your loss. I know he has been struggling for many years. Due to your care, you gave him better quality of life. I will give you a call soon. Love you, Sharon.
Comments: Sharon I am sorry to hear that Steve has passed away. I considered Steve a classmate after getting to know him. Take care of yourself!
Comments: Sharon, I am so sorry for your loss, and for the journey you have had to endure for the past year.
Comments: Sharon, I’m so very sorry for the loss of your precious Steve. You were a great wife, and you always did what was best for Steve. Take care of yourself, dear lady.

Comments: Hey guys. Just a quick note to let you know that Steve passed this morning. He had been in a nursing home since suffering a coronary in May 2020, but was in the hospital with pneumonia last month when he suffered another coronary. He'd been in ICU for over a month and his frail body just gave it up. There will be no service. Give hugs to all your loved ones.
Comments: It’s fixed.
Comments: FYI, several days ago, I reported the formatting problem of our guestbook to the service provider. They are working on it.
Comments: Goodness. The prices in our old neighborhood!
Comments: Good for you, Bosko! Give them my best regards. Alecia got my fingers working again during the early Covid medical shutdown. Great folks!
Comments: Margaret Leftnell, Round two with Dr Hughbo complete as of the 22nd. Next up...visits with the cute physical therapists ![]()
Comments: Charles Kenneth and Charlotte M. You two have been such a hoot my whole life. How lucky am I? don‘t answer that. We were always giggling back in Lisbon days.
Comments: Ha ha ha ha ! I don’t know how that happened. Of course, there could have been green bowels there, haaaaaaa.
Comments: Charlotte, Charlotte, Charlotte. You went to the dental school that had green bowels? Even Chester Clinic didn’t offer that!
Comments: Hey, you two! I went to a Dental SCHOOL for my dental care. I can remember the GREEN bowels with water swishing in them. Oh, and cute young guys using me as a case study.
Comments: Hey, Bosko, Yikes! Gonna try to dodge Doctor Proctor and his new medical venture. You’ll have to give a full review Don‘t you find it incredible that you and I still have teeth, and that neither of us has to be dragged kicking and screaming into modern day dental offices? (Well, I don’t. Can’t say for you.) I’ve told young whippersnapper dentists my memories and they think I’m nuts Hope your hand has made a full recovery, and that Dr. HughBo has you lined up for Round Two.
Comments: Margaret Leftnell, there have been numerous sightings of the aforementioned van driving around the Lisbon area of Oak Cliff. Recent medical journal articles indicate that Dr Proctor is specializing in hemorrhoid treatments...specifically sales of Dr Proctor's Rectum Rockets and other sphincter related solutions. It's been a while since you and I were visiting Dr Hamby's dental dungeon and torture chamber at Chester Clinic. Right?
Comments: So she is from the class of 64? What an interesting life! i remember Chester Clinic. at 6 years old, I fainted there after a shot.
Comments: This was in today’s Dallas News. Shirley Glenn.https://legcy.co/35dUMIT
Comments: Hey, Bosko, do you suppose Doctor Proctor is still practicing out of that van parked by the late Chester Clinic?
Comments: Did someone mention alcohol ? 🥂
Comments: Haa! Kenneth, you haven’t changed a bit since first grade.
Comments: Leftnell, After witnessing the futile efforts of Charlotte Mac to post a legible and coherent post, I have a few suggestions: 1) Attach an alcohol/drug detecting app to the guest column. 2) Have C-Mac provide proof that she actually graduated from SOC. 3) Start a Go-Fund me page to secure funds for a wellness check to be performed by a certified mental health worker. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
