For all of you Boude Storey SOCITES ......especially John S.....
Michael Martin Murphey was inducted into the Traditional Country Music Hall Of Fame last August. In recent years MMM has concentrated more on traditional cowboy songs and bluegrass.

Donna, thank you for the update. I'm so happy things are turning out okay. My neighbor had adrenal gland issues about 30 years ago, but she got fixed up and is fine today.

We'll hope to see you at a SOC event in 2013!

Dear Peaches, Lynell, and all,
Just a note to let you know the results of my tests were inconclusive and there were no changes in the growths on my adrenal glands.  So, he wants to see me again in six months, with another CT scan and blood work.  I am elated in that respect, but I still have questions about some back and hip pain.  The Doctor said I should consult a neurologist or back pain specialist.  I have fallen in the past and there could be some nerve damage in that area.
Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts.  I am glad you had such a good time at the luncheon.  I do hope I can make it to the next one!
Love,

Donna Gwin Libhart

Sharon, do you EVER change?????  You look so fab...well, everyone does, but you...WHOA!!!!  You have looked the same for 50 years...how do you do it???

Brenda, I am so sorry...hope you heal quickly.  Mother nature has over compensated for that drought!  She is making sure that the critters can't eat ALL her seeds and some will rejuvenate our landscape.  We have a bumper crop of pecans at our ranch this year too.

Brenda, please be careful.  I almost fell the other day because of the acorns on my sidewalk.  We have lived in our home for 25 years and I do believe the acorn crop this year is the largest one ever.  Thanks to all the hosts and hostesses for yesterday.  It was so much fun but it always is.

Just kidding with you Lynell...just got back from my Doctor and seems I have a mild concussion and torn ligaments in my knee.. whip lash..and a broken nose...other than that I am just Jim dandy....all will be back to normal in a few weeks.. the word normal to be debated I am sure. The pictures are so good..Peaches and co hosts did a great job.

Haaa, Brenda, no, I certainly wasn't, but I'm glad to hear that your sense of humor wasn't rattled by your fall!

Last time I gave myself a black eye, I stooped over in a dark closet to get something off a low shelf and jammed my nose into an upright vacuum cleaner metal hose attachment. Boy, did I see stars as I cut the bridge of my nose and blackened both eyes. What a dopey thing for me to do. Now I turn on the light!

Nice work Lynell.  Sometimes perseverance is quicker than "tech help"!    And better!

C'mon, doesn't anyone have Jean or James Anthony's correct em add?  I sure need to get in touch with them.  Thanks!

Amazingly, I just fixed that link, so it's now available on the Images page.  Need to let Network Solutions know to call off the experts.  Even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then.

Thank you so much, Peaches and all the hard-working hostesses/hosts for the great Christmas party.  Cynthia and Martha sent me their pictures, and I added a few of my own.  However, I can't get the link to work, and neither could the tech at Network Solutions.  They're escalating the "issue" (love that term for making me yank my hair out!) and the button should work in a day or two.

Meanwhile, go here to see the pictures on Smugmug:  http://lynell.smugmug.com/Groups/December-2012-Luncheon/26868057_fHR7Cp#!i=2251199631&k=38HpfHH

So sorry to miss the Christmas party today. I had a pretty bad fall a few days ago when I was walking to my car and stepped on some acorns that rolled under my feet and went down face first to the concrete...broke my nose..chipped my front tooth..skinned up my hands and knees...was a pretty site!! With my broken nose of course I have black eyes so felt I need to stay in so I won't scare everyone!!! I laugh about it now but it was scary at the time. Miss you all and hope to make the next event

We had such expectations of getting to go to the luncheon, but as in life other things had to be taken care of and we did not get to attend this year.  Hopefully soon, we can meet up with friends again after the holidays, stressing is the option of the day today.  Hope you all had a wonderful time, all the preparation by all the hostessess and hosts is always delightful.  Miss our time with friends, will see you all soon. Hugs T&G

Peaches....We so wanted to attend the Christmas luncheon but have been passing a virus around our family and definitely didn't want to pass it on to our SOC friends.  Please tell everyone that we're so sorry we must miss this wonderful get together and so hope we will be able to make the next one.  Merry CHRISTmas to all our friends, wish we could be with you.

Go all the way down Oak Stream, it is to the left BEFORE you get to my townhomes. A sign will say PRIVATE PARKING CLUB HOUSE.  You can see the club house.  I have warned most of my neighbors.
