Comments: Here's a YouTube video that is sure to take you back a few years: http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=JEfotdZCguk&pop_ads=null I remember most of these, but I prefer the black and white ones. So many TV shows jumped the shark when color came in! Just my opinion.

Comments: I am glad that Wayne is doing better. Charlotte is right we need to listen to what out bodies are telling us. I talked to Valerie Adamson Bannister yesterday and her husband, Don is under going chemo. Valerie has her hands full taking care of Don. Undergoing Chemo is NO picnic.
Comments: Oh my gosh!! Poor Wayne!!! If you come back and read this please tell him I wish him well AND hopw he gets well quickly. Just shows we need to pay attention when we have aches and pains...they are not all just signs of getting old. How scary for Wayne. WOW!
Comments: Last week it was noted here that Wayne Zablosky was in the hospital in Denton due to a appendicitis attack. Well it was a little more than that. We almost lost Wayne due to the fact that an abscess ruptured on his appendix causing the appendix to totally dis- intergrate and causing gangrene to set in and attacking the lower colon and pelvic area. He had said his stomach had been hurting for about 3 weeks and when he couldn't stand the pain had his son Kevin take him to the ER.At first they were going to wait until the following Monday but after getting test results back they took him into surgery right away. After the surgey was over, the Doctor said 1 more hour and he would have crossed over the big river!!!! He is doing much better now,and able to walk with a walker. Wayne is recuperating at our cousin's house in Rockwall, he said he would welcome any phone calls after I visited today with him. If you don't have his cell # contact me at this email address, which is my sister's and I will give it to you.
Comments: Martha, I don't want to cover up my LYNELL IS SWELL ! bumper sticker.
Comments: Let's get some bumper stickers made that say, "Let Us Help YOU Pack!".
Comments: Fantastic Video!
Comments: Charlotte: Great video

Comments: I sit here after reading Jerry's post and think...how did this happen? I remember when my father went to his 50 reunion...he had such a good time His hair was still red, but I thought he was soooooo old. Now I know he was! ha! Side note...surprise, surprise...President Obama has been endorsed as the Democratic Nominee.
Comments: As Chairman of the Class of '62's 50th reunion, I want to take this opportunity to invite the Class of '63 to our gala event to be held on October 5 & 6, this year at the Omni Park West. There will be a Friday night mixer with dancing, drinks, and food, and a Sat luncheon from 1-5 at the hotel. We will have a hospitality room Fri and Sat to meet and visit at anytime after the events, when you might need more time to continue visiting and enjoying talking with the "older folks"!! Cost will be $75/person for both nights, and is the same as last time. For those who want to stay at the hotel, we will have a block of rooms, but the final nightly cost has not been determined as yet....we are trying to hold that the same as last time also. As we get more details finalized, I'll try and keep everyone posted. Looking forward to seeing a lot of you there like last time, as the Class of '63 was well represented, and I would like to say thanks for attending. If you have any questions, just email me and I will answer.
Comments: There's 'refined' and then there's the 'refiner's fire'. Some of us are still going through that.. Darn it.. GCB was not on last night. Cuba Gooding's movie was on, instead..
Comments: Yessiree, "refined" is the first word that comes to mind when one thinks of the Class of '63! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
Comments: Lynell, we were honored to have ya'll, as it's always nice to hob nob with the more refined older crowd!
Comments: SNL, you are too kind. That was the first dress I've bought during this Millennium. You and Don are great hosts. To the blonde lady who made the Trash, it was soo good. James was kind enough to split his gallon of it with a fellow SOC girl, even though the ever-beautiful Jean Ferree declined. Great fun, and thank you! Please post a picture of your curved walkway, When I got home, my husband had been busy in the yard all afternoon. We went to dinner at El's with neighbors, and I was croaked by 9:15. I remember when I used to "sit up" till the wee hours. BTW, you're old if you use the term sit up.
Comments: No GCB..at 9.. Hilarious and 'over the top'..take-off on rich, Christian, vindictive women in Dallas.. What a Hoot..!
Comments: Was a nice surprise to see Lynell and James & Jean Anthony at our Get-Together yesterday! Ya'll were way over-dressed for our grp, but ya'll looked so nice!
Comments: The '66 event was socializin' and talkin', with snackies on the tables in the bar. Sandy Norman Lynn was taking pictures, so I'll bet show up on the '66 site at some point. What a beeyoutiful day we're having! A new Mad Men at 9 p.m., so it doesn't get much better for me.
Comments: Oh yes....danced around the fire pit with my rain dance feathers in my hair! Lynell, was it lunch too or just social? Did you take pics? Were any other 63ers there?
Comments: I had a lovely time this afternoon at the Class of '66 springtime gathering at the Hyatt in Richardson. Thank you, Sandy!! You '66ers are holding up well. ![]() ![]()
Comments: Did you do your rain dance outside around the fire pit?
Comments: I am enjoying a fire in the fireplace out country at our little ranchette. What cool! It is supposed to be in the 50s tonight and the 40s tomorrow night...yea!! I am enjoying the cool while it lasts. We had a wonderful rain this afternoon. We had just fertilized our pastures in hopes of rain and sure enough it rained. I guess my dance worked!!

Sometime in May a new Lego Store will open in The Woodlands!
If we pool our resources together and toss in Barry's massive tax refund, perhaps we could buy enough legos to make one of these:
Comments: The good news: We had a healthy dinner. The so-so news: It was a Big Salad. The excellent news: Our crisper is almost empty.
Comments: Got my call that the three I have to file this year are read, and yes, late. Just waiting for funds to transfer so I can pay and cry. Needed Lynell's legal advice earlier.
Comments:
I diligently completed FORM 4868 (Application for Extension of Time to File) and mailed it in ample time.
Follow up with me on October 14th to see how I'm doing as the minutes tick down.
Comments: JS, special hint: Run the date back on your postage machine, print postage for your return. Slap postage tape onto a purple envelope addressed to tax office and drop it in a mailbox after everything was picked up. Hang around till employee comes back for next pickup. When you spot your purple envelope, holler, "WHAT?? I can't believe my return was not picked up in a timely manner!!" (Be sure you video this.) You can't tell I worked in the legal field, can you? ![]()
Comments: John will still be working on his taxes!
Comments: My treasure from Dick Clark. May he rest in peace. |
