I know I'm risking a new round of somebody going off the political chain, but I've got to say it anyway.  Anybody notice how simply idiotic the Obama gang sounded yesterday?  Like "O" in Racine, Wisconsin, defending the fact that unemployment is still over 9.5% by saying "it could be worse, like 12 or 13 or 15%".  Uh, Barry, you're in a town where it's 14% or so, AND SOUNDING REAL DUMB.  Or Nancy "Big Gavel" Pelosi saying in a press conference that "paying people more unemployment IS THE BEST WAY TO CREATE JOBS."  I hate to break it to them, but they'd flunk their first semester of Government Running 101 if this were the real world.  Oh dear, it is the real world.  Now I'm "goin' off the chain"!!!..................Charles Johns, re-sign your post or the deleter has no choice but to delete.

Lynell, I am mixing up a new batch of skin thickener.  Will overnight some.  Hang in there girl, I also like to know who is posting.  We forget some names and it is always nice to see them when they rarely post on '63.

Lynell, please take a sedative.  I've emailed Chas to suggest he get back on and state his full name so he can be in compliance, and his post is not deleted.  I'm sure he will.

I take it that Chas who posted was Chas Bono, who would be this guestbook's very first celebrity.  We've given up on Boude Storey's fine talent show participant Michael Martin Murphey and SOC's own Dennis Rodman. Maybe Chas will tell us what it was like to have Sonny and Cher as parents.

At the risk of being redundant, PLEASE SIGN YOUR WHOLE NAME WHEN YOU POST ON THIS GUESTBOOK.  WE DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE OTHERWISE.  THANK YOU.

Cousin Johnny, I know this will impact you particularly, but beginning today, as part of Obamacare, you will have to pay a 10% tax on your tanning at Planet Beach.  Sorry, it's just part of the price for insuring 30 million more Americans.  I bet a lot of SOCites start laying out in the backyard, and hope no one sees them through the chain link fence.  Kinda gets you excited, huh Barry & Jud.  Sure does me!

Remember to let the county appraisal district know about being officially 65, so they will adjust your property taxes downward.  Nice to see taxes go down for a change!

I am truly starting to feel old.  I just got through at the Social Security Administration office where I signed up for Medicare Plan A.  I will never have enough money to retire, so I just hope my employer keeps on going.  Also, one of my all-time favorite movies, "The Magnificent Seven", is 50 years old.  Geez.

HELLO everyone, I post here only once in a while but thought someone here had a birthday today. This is my daughters B-DAY and Peaches' also. To be PC because I am on the SOC 63 site...It is PEACHES' birthday and also my daughters. Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to both! It is reassuring to see you "younger" folks try to stay up with the news of the day. Thanks for paying attention..whatever side you take. As for me, I am a Christian conservative who voted first for LBJ then Carter. Okay, Okay, that was during my "stupid dope smokin days"! After my brain cleared and I gave up roll-your-own, strobe-lites, disco, body-art(THAT was fun()!, bell-bottom stretch pants and long hair, I became an Independent-Republican. I hear you guys sometimes have posts without a name!? If I post MY NAME will be posted also along with my chscar@txol.net e-mail. I write a column for a paper in Abilene,Tex and L O V E a good discussion of facts. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEACHES from Charlie over at SOC 62!

If you would like to join many Americans simply supporting our troops this 4th of July weekend, go to this website http://www.TroopAThon.org.  The TroopAThon telethon will be live in about 10 minutes and will go until midnight, and will be a great tribute to our troops.

I didn't realize that you and my brother were both born on July 1st!  I called him this morning and now I want to wish you the best on YOUR day.

Sorry, no political statement this time.....................but, I'm working on it.

Bill, I doubt so much that I turned the volume off.  Anything "worthwhile" will be discussed by real news shows, and the main stream will just tell you how wonderful it was that he explained why he won't enforce existing law...... Employment note:  If you're gay (not you Bill, I'm just making a generic point), and considering employment with Google, they're going to start paying more to gays and lesbians to offset some tax advantages that straight couples have.....Lots of comments come to mind, but I'll just report the news.

Bill, you are wise to doubt anything he says...he says what he thinks liberals, or anyone for that matter, wants to hear...even if it isn't true...truth is an unknown concept in his world.  I doubt every word that comes out of his mouth!  And  justifiably so!

All valid points JS about the congressman. You stated correctly, "How does someone who seems so out of touch with reality ['our borders are quite secure']. I'm watching a live telecast of President Obama talking about immigration reform (his idea is amnesty) and he just said that our borders are more secure now than at any time during the past 20 years. I have my doubts!

Bill, that was a fascinating video on Congressman Pete Stark (Dem. - Calif.). How does someone who seems so out of touch with reality ["our borders are quite secure"], keep getting re-elected? His is a peculiar story - he represents California but lives in Maryland?

Martha, if we look at the history of his prior elections it looks to me like he will easily win another term. Since 1998 he has been re-elected over and over by margins of over 70%. I'm not sure what this says about his district constituents?

On another important topic, let me join the others in wishing a most enjoyable birthday to our Peaches.

Jud:  Nobody nominated me.  I guess that checking that box on my tax return about contributing to the fund, just didn't get my name high enough on the list.

My guess is he will not get re-elected but he is in there now.  It is sad to think a representative would treat his constituents with such disrespect.

Did anyone else see this on the news? How can a member of Congress speak/mock the folks from his district like this? How does he continue to be reelected?
Someone probably won't like me saying this, but this guy is an absolute JERK!
