Maybe it is just me, but I also think that we non-parents need a day, too.  Somebody help me find an unclaimed day.  For instance, today is Stamp Out Feline Cancer day so it's out of the question.  Has Hallmark already spokn up for the Day Before Mother's Day?

Brian Williams was on David Letterman, last night and talked about watching the market drop 1,000 points. He also discussed what was going on around the world, the Greece 'trouble' , Great Britain's elections, the latest airline terrorist' plot, the oil spill, the floods, etc., etc. He says it's not over and more is to come..
All of this 'stuff' has been predicted in one form or another..for years.. sit back and watch..It's still coming and as I say..."The Truth will rise to the Top.." Can we sustain and survive..? Most likely, but our world and our lives, have to change..

Okay, I did a little of the 'Sam' thing...

Kathleen, according to stock market lore we are supposed to "Sell in May and go away". Translation = get out of the market from May to the Fall and avoid the typically weak summer period.

Some feel a turnaround has been long overdue as the Dow Jones Industrial Avg. has run from 6,600 to over 11,000 in just the past 14 months or so.

Today is liable to be another wild ride as folks close out positions and move to the sidelines to avoid any surprises that may develop during the weekend.

It would be wonderful if we could make the gusher in the Gulf of Mexico invisible before it ruins the eco system of the Gulf of Mexico and the habitat of the Florida Keys. It is said the oil will reach as far away as the coast lines of England and Scotland. No one is sure how much devastation this gusher may cause to the whole world. One commentator said this is worse than being hit by a meteorite.
On a lighter note, does anyone know what happened to the stock market today? My Procter and Gamble stock went from $60 to $40 in fifteen minutes.

Well, maybe so Lynell..It would have to be a 'miracle'.. I like the idea of Harry Potter's cloak/cape..You can be invisible under that too.. Superpowers would be nice, however. If we're going to dream, might as well dream....BIG..!

Then....Lynell, we would have to wear that outfit..Even Linda Carter wouldn't wear that outfit any more...The only thing I would commit to would be the ARM BANDS.

That would be the important part anyway..Bullets just ricocheted off her armbands..!

Think about how much fun it would be to be "transparent."  That's the next thing to "invisible".  A person could have superpowers, like Wonder Woman.

John, did you know that someone is making a movie about the magic ball?  yep!

F anyone's I, this is the enticing letter I received.  I am trying hard to resist, but 30% of 5.5 mil sounds so good...haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!  Transparently speaking of course.

First and foremost, i have to reiterate my resolve to carry out this transaction within the jurisdiction of both local and international laws. Regarding your mail, I will want you to stand as the next of kin to late Anders as i have not been able to locate the relatives for more than 3years now and the bank will confiscate the funds if we do not apply for the release. Mr Robert Anders made a deposit of $5.5million with the bank here.

All i would need from you is to be transparent and trustworthy and everything will work accordingly to plan as i have set out the modalities for us to get everything concluded.

For your assistance towards the completion of this transaction, you will receive 30% of the total sums ($5.5Million) and i will get 65% while we will give 5% to charity organizations and the less privileged.

Once i receive your positive response, i will draft and send to you, the copy of the text of the application which you will send to the bank requesting them to release the deposit to you.

Barry, I share your pain with regard to Unclaimed Property Funds sitting trapped at the State Comptroller's coffers. There is $3,074 waiting there for Allie M. Dyer. She is/was my 94 yr. old grandmother who passed away in 1984 in a nursing home in Abilene. For some unknown reason the funds did not appear until 2008?

I am trying to figure out how to outmanuever 5 other grandkids who would have equal standing (or better) in the matter. When I consulted my Magic 8-Ball the response that floated up was "Outlook Not Good".

Let's not forget that Lynell provides us access to search for these lost funds under the "Fun Things" link on the home page of this site.

Back when I was 'subbing' in the Nashville Schools..Long before FT employment with them, there was this  HS student that called me a 'white nigger'...(I don't think that was a compliment , he was black..?) and he was the student that tried to convince me that Fridays were 'FreeDays'....no work.. I later met his mother, who was a teacher,  and told her what he said... Could he have called me that because of my really, 'zany'...personality...?  We don't know..
Sam, Sam, Sam.....Quit It...!  Rev. Ike went to Glory...?

Thanks to our own Johnny, I found that I had some unclaimed money at the Comptroller's Office.  I went online and sure enough there it was, just like Johnny said.  One was a couple of hundred dollars left after my mother's medical expenses were all paid.  I signed the form and a few weeks later, the check arrived.  The other one was for a few hundred dollars from Gifford Hill, but it required the signature of my ex.  I called and told them I did not know where she was, or if she was even still alive.  He was unswayed.  She lives in Southlake and I know how to get in touch with her, but I would rather take my chance with the Prime Minister of Tongo and send him $3500!  So if anyone  wants to forge Linda's name to the form, I'll split the money with you.  On second thought, she might know the money is there and is just waiting for me to do something illegal to get the money.  She might have set the whole thing up with Johnny!  I guess it will just  stay there..........
