Bet the appraisal district would be surprised - shhhhhh.  I am with you, Lynell - sell high and sell quick.  Drats the new home incentative tax rebate ended - oh well, win some lose some.  You are right Lynell, Spooky is more like it.  I am sure there are more sites all the time popping up so one cannot stay on top of all of them.  Glad to have one more shut down.

Cynthia, I found out I live in a million dollar house, too.  I wonder if that's an offer.  They should call this site SPOOKO.  It's just too invasive.

Thanks for the information on Spoeko, Ginger - had no idea.  Lynell, seems I could have shared some of your hertitage while I am 100% American with German blood.  I sure would like to see the house they think I lived in valued at $1M+ but whola with a lot of effort, I am missing now from their list.   Geez I hate that we have lost our privacy.

Thanks again for the heads up.  I shared it with family and friends.

Charlotte is the one that made you promise... and some guy...I think you are quite funny, Mr. Sam.. You do go on and on...as they say in the South..Some of us stay..centered..and in the middle.. We don't need that extreme left or extreme right stuff.. It gives me a 'headache'..
Tommy said there were some 'plastic' women at the dinner.. I ask him..who..? He hasn't told me..Probably won't..
The Wolf River is cresting today..Suppose to cause trouble.. Big Water...here in Tn..
Big Water....!
I'm working the Greek Festival this weekend...OPA... You-all...! (I forgot what that means..Have to look it up or I'm sure they'll tell me at the Festival..

Thank you, Charlotte.  I found out from Spokeo to my surprise I am African-American and in my LATE 60's.  ahem.  I am already old enough, thank you, and I could not possibly be African American because I have no rhythm and turn beet red in the sun.  However, I did as you suggested and clicked the Privacy button.  Couldn't find David Smith on there -- there's just too many of 'em.

Tanya, that's a good site to know about.  It's still a little scary to think about.

Jack, thank you for the invite.  Which Double Tree is that?

Hey Charlotte, that Spokeo thing says your hair has been "tinted".  Please tell me that's not so!  And Betty, are you talking about that "gang" who is usually chasing me?  Sticks and stones may......oh, you know the rest.  Looks like the SOC luncheon Saturday was a big success.  We wanted to come, but had agreed to help our daughter with a garage sale (at our house, with me paying for the ad....and her getting all the proceeds:  what's wrong with this picture).  Also, I've got the ROMEO (Real Old Men Eating Out) SOC Luncheon tomorrow, then we're heading for Fling-a-rama in Rising Star on Friday.  Jane Ann is riding with us, and we're hauling a transmission for Paul Speaks to give to Charlie, as Paul will be arriving on his Harley.  Everyone looked good in the pictures.  Well, there were a few who looked like they need a few vitamins, or had too many ritas, but they shall remain nameless.  And Happy Birthday, Rodger.  Sometime I'll tell the Savis Mobil Dervice story on here from when Rodger and Anita were kids in Nebraska.  Okay, now for some politics.  Oh, I remember, Ginger made me promise not to talk politics on here.  She can't decide which side she's on, and gets confused about it.  Stay dry Memphis Belle.  Now, where's that proud "Progressive" from SOC '64?

Thanks Charlotte for the update on SPOKEO.com.  I checked it out but then I got a chuckle too, it had me living with Gary and his ex-wife June at their old address.  Guess I was the foster child. HA.  Alot of it was wrong on me too, however, got it cancelled.  thanks for the upbeat info.  However there is another search engine, you pay money for membership just once, but it has all your info, your marriage, divorce records, your felonies, etc. and more.  No way to delete that one.   It is RecordsArea.com.   For about $30.00 one time fee, you can locate anyone in the US or Canada and get all the info, even where someone is buried that has passed away.  Amazing internet access is everwhere.   I use that search engine to locate classmates.

Ms. Betty and all; FYI:  SOC 66 will be hosting its 66 and Friends semi-annual gathering on Saturday, June 5th at the DoubleTree. It is 2:00 to 6:00 PM. No cost to attend, only what you order to eat or drink.  Also, the Da' Bears golf association will be playing golf on Friday June 4th at Indian Creek in Carrollton.  All are WELCOME to join us at one or both events.

There's a site called Spokeo.com that's a new on line phone book w/personal information: everything from pics you've posted on FB or web, your approx credit score, home value, income, age, etc. You can remove yourself by first searching for yourself on their site to find the URL of your page and going to the Privacy button on the bottom of their page to remove yourself.

My info was not totally correct, but close enough...this Net is scary stuff.

Well, Ginger, we can just crash Sam's party. Or maybe we'll get an invite. Hey Sam, are you listening?

Looks like we may be having a June luncheon. I'll get back with the details soon. I agree with Peaches, we did have them monthly in the past. This way, at least through the summer months, people may get a chance to attend.

Still happy from our Saturday gathering.

Thank you Danny for a great gathering of old friends.  I love to get back to Dallas and attend as many of the luncheons as possible and I am certainly glad I made this one.  Also good job Lonnie and Lynell!

Betty - the hostess with the mostest - go for it.  I think it has been a long time since our monthly luncheons but judging from Saturday, the audience is ready if you will just annouce it.

Looking forward to it and the one in July.

Thanks,
Cynthia

Lynell, you always do a great job taking pictures. Thanks for uploading so quickly. You, Cynthia and Lonnie are the best!!!

So what does everyone think about another luncheon the first week of June? Too early maybe, and wait until July? I think Randy Arnold and Diane may plan the July event. I'll be happy to organize if there is enough interest.

Maybe our '62 friends can be encouraged to attend. Now that would make things lively. Gotta love Sam and the gang.

Thanks to everyone that put the luncheon together on Saturday.  It was great to see some people that I have not seen since HS.  I even got to see a cousin, Marci, that I have not seen since she was about 3.  She obviously does not get her looks from her Dad.  Sorry Danny.

It was fun sitting with Kathleen and her husband and reminiscing all the way back to the 3rd grade.  Wow, that's a scary thought.

Thanks to everyone for making the luncheon so much fun.  The pictures are great.  The place was wonderful and so was the food.  Steve actually got three meals from his chicken fried steak!  It was great to see McCord and Fincher looking so well.  Keep it up ladies.  (I simply can't remember married names!)

Brenda, you were SO missed yesterday.  I hope you feel up to attending one of these lunches soon.  I can't comprehend what you have been through, but please know that your SOC buds love you as much as we loved SOB.  He was such a cute kid at Lisbon, and such a handful!  I remember him as a little boy, and all those teachers who were smitten enough with his big blue eyes not to wring his neck.  There was never a dull moment if Barney Lee Kemp was in the room.  But I'm preaching to the choir, aren't I?

Danny's daughter Marci reminds me so much of his sister Jan.  Same smile, and such a nice young woman.

Great luncheon - so glad I went. Saw Tommy Davis ('63) and Suzy Johnson Doss ('66), both from the neighborhood where we all lived in the 50's & 60's (and the Willards also lived in the same block). Met Suzanne Meyers Black's daughter and Danny Willard's daughter, and Candy Florence Sturch's youngest daughter. Great bunch of folks!

Enjoyed seeing the pictures from the luncheon.  Sorry I missed this event but I am having difficulty handling those first time events I  have do without Barney.  Looked like a great crowd and so sorry I missed telling Roger Happy Birthday...

Good Pictures... Most of them have nametags on so that helps.. I like Sharon Reeves picture with her big smile...Wayne is recognizable, just because he's Wayne..! I figured out 'Rodger' with the BD sign and sitting beside Peaches..
We have survived a 'bunch' of rain here and lots of flooding. The Memphis City Hall flooded. The Med (Memphis' Parkland), was flooded. They had to move the Labor and Delivery 'folks' and they shut down the ER for hours.. We heard sirens for nearly 48 hours, with a few breaks.. I'm glad it's quiet today...

The El Fenix downtown is a great place. My old Dallas Post office buds from the old Terminal Annex next to the railroad station has been having a reunion there for the last 5 years. They have always treated us well. We are moving this year to Edisons on Cockrell for some unknown reason to me.

All rightie.  All 150+ pictures taken by both Lonnie and me yesterday at the luncheon at Texas Land & Cattle are now posted.  Most people are wearing name tags, so hopefully you can read who's who.  What a fine-looking bunch of people!

Go to the link on the Images page.  It's the top button.

What a wonderful crowd we had today.  There were a number of unfamiliar faces but everyone was so friendly.  2 Birthdays - Roger and Susan - and they both managed to blow out all their candles successfully.

John, you and Dru were very much missed.  I hope Dru's knee get better really soon or corrected permanently.

Betty - great idea to pull together a June event.  Just pick a place and watch the crowd come together.  By June, maybe without a patio?  Oh well, enough Margaritas and who cares.  I am with you Betty, we are missing out on something there.  However, you had margarita chicken, you were closer than I was with the salmon - ooooh it was so good.

Looking forward to your photos Lynell.  Just finished going through Lonnie's 96 plus his video.  I still have not down loaded mine - too busy looking at his.  He does such a wonderful job.

Thanks to all for such a wonderful event and especially to our host - Danny - great job!  See, it is not so hard - pick a place and let the web sites know and who-la - a party breaks out...

Have a great evening.

Cynthia

Did I ever tell ya'll how much I love Lynell? I mean, the girl cracks me up.

And funny girl, you and Cynthia saw my comment on Vicki's margarita picture didn't you? I'm gonna have to join the "fun club" because they have a lot more fun than I do.
