Comments: Ken: I have often wondered that myself. Danny looks more and more like his dad and Jan looks more and more like her mother. Suzanne has totally gray hair while Jan keeps her hair color the same as always. Suzanne's brother, Don, passed away some time ago and Jan's older sister, Martha, recently passed away. Suzanne plays the piano/organ at Church of the Red Rocks in Sedona, AZ. Their service is on the internet. Beautiful area.
Comments: Hang in there Barry Grubbs...and remember the golden years are not for sissies. In fact, I think the years at SOC were our true "Golden Years". After walking three miles a day for years, I had knee surgery last year for a torn meniscus. People asked me what I did to cause it, I told them I had a lot of birthdays. While I have your attention, answer a DNA question for me regarding cousins. Speaking from a photogenic perspective, how did Barry Gibbs & Danny Willard evolve from the same gene pool as Jan Willard & Suzie Darnell?
Comments: Lynell: Yes, they are quite the rage. In the past, no news was good news, but last night I got the results of the swab- negative. So, I am once again free to go to Baylor and be and be poked and prodded and just generally be inconvenienced.
Comments: Barry, good luck with the CPAP. I hear they are quite trendy!

Comments: Well, tomorrow I get another covid swab. This will be the 4th one. I had a sleep study 2 weeks ago and they found that I quit breathing 170+ times and my blood oxygen level dropped to 80%. It's amazing how many people I know that use a CPAP machine. I guess I can add my name to the list. This Friday I go back again and they will determine what kind of CPAP I will need. Now I will wait for Bosko to chime in with his much appreciated comments.
Comments: Sonny Melton left me a message that Weldon Wells passed away last night. He was one of my favorite teachers and I also knew him from Cliff Temple. I will post if i receive more information.
Comments: Hey, Jacky, Stay well!
Comments: Happy 4th 0f July to all my old Lisbon classmates. It's been a long time since the 5th thru the 7th grade!! Lynell posted a picture on facebook taken on the last day of 7th grade. Jay Kralik, Marty Smith, Jessie Rocha, Joe Alexander, me, and a bunch of those cute Lisbon girls. I showed my wife, I wish someone would post some more of the old pictures. Wallacejadawa@yahoo.com or Jacky Wallace on facebook. God bless you all.

Comments: Larry was Danny Green’s minister.
Comments: I have been reading Larry's letters to the editor for years. I lean right ( not as far as the Tea Party), but certainly to the conservative side. Larry's letters were definitely more to the liberal side and he left no doubt that he didn't like President Trump. While I didn't agree with a lot of what he wrote, his letters were well written and not hateful or nasty. If the report is true then I guess the church folks didn't approve.
Comments: Larry Pool wrote some Letters to the Editor at the Dallas Morning News that were critical of the President. The ones I saw he signed as Cecil Larry Pool and did not identify himself as affiliated with the Church.
Comments: I heard from John Southworth yesterday and he asked if I had heard about Larry Pool. Larry had been pastor at Calvary Baptist Church for 19 years and was dismissed for sending letters to the editor of the Dallas Morning News. Don’t know any details
Comments: Ken: She never mentioned that. I’ll ask her next time I see her.
Comments: Katie Knight was a cute, sweet girl. Betcha no guys messed with her. Not any boy in his right mind anyway.
Comments: Mr Gibbs, I hate to be a contrarian but I have to question the sincerity of your "decided to try ROTC" story. The smoking gun, so to speak, is located on page 233 of The Den 1961. The entire page is devoted to the Rifle Club...all young women including one Miss Katie Maureen Knight. I feel sure this was your true motivation for thinking ROTC/rifle range. My only regret is that I was oblivious to this fine organization. As far as missed time goofing off with Ken, that activity was way overrated. I'm sure your Arizona cousin would agree with that fact.
Comments: Ken, it’s funny you should mention that. My best friend in grade school and junior high was Don Chapman. We rode motor scooters together, hunted and fished together, played football together and just generally hung out together. We only lived a block apart. We went to two a days at SOC before our Sophomore year. After the first workout, Don was really worried. “I’m gonna die”. Don only weighed 130# and the first guy to hit him was Malcolm Walker. Well, two of Don’s other friends were juniors and were in ROTC. One of them was on the rifle team. The thought of spending time on the range sounded a lot more appealing than study hall. Besides, Larry Pool was not playing football and he was the only guy at Zumwalt that was slower than I was. So, I decided to try ROTC and Don immediately moved to Houston. I have always regretted that decision and realize that I missed out on the goofing off with Ken.
Comments: If you still don’t know!
Comments: Ken, i know you can read Chinese. I agree about Lynell and Barry. why didn’t they clue us in back then? I remain clueless to this day!!!!
Comments: Yikes! I have deleted those links to closed class websites. Bosko’s onto something. Those rascally Sunset or Kimball kids must have done it. Y’all stay safe. Thanks for the heads up.
Comments: Hmmm....porn? I'm not familiar with that word. What does it mean? Maybe some of the smarter people, the ones like Leftnell and Barry who didn't realize that high school was for sports, dating, and goofing off, and who actually studied and made good grades, maybe they can enlighten the rest of us as to the definition of that word. If it's bad, then I assume it must refer to someone who went to Sunset...or Adamson...or Kimball. Ugh, I should have paid more attention in class.
Comments: Oh, I forgot to say that the link to the Class of 65, in Chinese, is also a porn site.
Comments: Just like Dancing, we had planned several trips this year. We visited my cousin, Suzanne Darnell Moore, in Sedona last year and wanted to go back this year, but getting older and then the COVID-19 and we’ll see about next year. First the knee replacement, then two mini strokes, then hernia surgery, then a Pacemaker and now another hernia. I was scheduled to have the hernia repaired two weeks ago. Went to pre-op on Weds and then went for the surgery on Fri. The surgeon was scrubbing in when the anestgeologist decided that he wouldn’t put me to sleep until the heart problem is sorted. Going for a sleep study on Fri. And to make it worse, we have only been fishing once during all this! Maybe some prayers would help.
Comments: I don't remember any Chinese students in the Class of '65, but the link to their website does. I did take 2 courses of Chinese but I can't read it - maybe it's the fight song?
