Comments: Charlotte should tell you, but I think it has to do with her McAllister side of the family.. I most likely, spelled that name wrong..but there's 10,000 spellings for Mc Allister.. I think that is where the Mac..came from...but get it from Char-Char. That's why she'll call me Virginia Ann....which is my name, too...

Comments: Charlotte, this is our kitties' very favorite holiday -- Daylight Savings Time! We're going to eat an hour early! It'll take them (and me) a week or so to get it all straight.
Comments: Hope everyone remembers to "spring forward" their clocks tonight. It seems this gets earlier and earlier! I think it used to be Easter Weekend. Those eagles on the web site I put here will have their talons full with three hungry baby eagles...two have hatched.
Comments: Well....It wouldn't let me enter my comments..when I accidentally pushed the wrong button..I should have just started over.!! I've heard of the whole class being PG..before.. It is strange to use in our 60's world we grew up in..isn't it? It's like the 7th Grade girls in my choir talking about doing tricks on 6th Street in Austin.. I consider myself very middle of the road in many respects...but that 'stuff' really blows my mind.. I had the shame 'thingy' too, but it was through the baptist church thing..Not as much my mother.. She just 'info'd' me to death..Oh, I made up a new word...

Comments: Ginger, You were lucky to have had such a wise mother. I was painfully shy around boys, which I am sure suited my mother just fine. It is a wonder that I was ever able to meet someone and get married with the lack of sex education that I received. I was made to feel guilty about almost everything and I was frequently told that men have to respect you... I remember when a classmate from another class got his girlfriend pregnant how no one wanted to speak to them. It is hard to imagine that happening nowadays. When I first started teaching, I was surprised when I taught this one ninth grade class where all the girls in the class were P.G.
Comments: Birds and Bees...That's a different subject, Kathleen..My mother made me read that book, "Life and Love for Teenagers". Also any article she came across, she made me read.. I got the birds and bees..thing.. **I watch and have watched all the Nature and Nova 'stuff'..I would have enjoyed knowing more about the eagles and the bears...back then..

Comments: Great find, Charlotte. This eagle cam is in color and close up. Those eagles are going to have their hands full when all three eggs hatch. I wonder why at Boude Storey we didn't learn a thing about these incredible birds? Or at SOC why there wasn't at least a 30 minute assembly with someone telling us about bears?

Comments: The results I saw about the sex longevity said that because men in general die sooner than women is one reason women's sex life curtails after age 66.......it also said men waaaaaay into their 70s report a good sex life...and that this is probably now due to Viagra.
Comments: Now we know the real reason that JS joined the Class of '66. He gets three extra years before he turns 70. SNEAKY! It's fun talking about him since he gave up the site for Lent. My guess is that he's still out there, lurking.

Comments: There is a new study out on how long men and women have active sex lives. Women report that their sex iives are curtailed by the age of 66 and men last a little longer 70. Of course, thanks to Viagara some men go out with a smile.
Comments: I was on Beale St..last week going to the FedEx Forum to see all those...'country western' singers!.. Beale St reminds me of 6th St in Austin..in several ways.. I taught middle school choir for one year in Pflugerville. Now Pflugerville is a 'band town'.. They put all the leftover kids in choir.. There were a few that were actually there by choice.. The 1st day of class, I had 7th Grade girls talking about doing tricks on 6th St...I asked myself..."Self, is this how it's going to be all year?" Well, yes it was..I decided I didn't ever want to be in a class with 7th/ 8th grade girls again..I guess that sort of thing happens on Beale and 6th.. (Not necessarily 7th/8th grade girls or boys, but you never know?) Life is weird but interesting... I know who Elizabeth Vargas is....

Comments: Despite all the wild guesses and all the clamoring about who Marc Cohn is married to............wait a minute, all that took place on another Guestbook, I think Lynell was the first one to come up with his wife's initials, EV. His wife is Elizabeth Vargas. I think she's on ABC. Don't get overly excited there Ginger, walking in Memphis. Lynell, your prize is picking a topic that'll surely be controversial, posting it on SOC '62, and defending yourself for a whole day. It's like a feng shui cleansing of the soul.
