Comments: Dan, what kind of art do you do? I took up acrylic painting a few years ago, and I take online landscape classes from Johannes Vloothius. Just wish I could remember half the stuff I need to remember while slinging paint around! Watch out for those mosquitoes when the season arrives.
Comments: Hi everyone All is well in Paris ,tx tonight. I finally got the riding mower out today for the first time. I needed to get more active. Enjoying the mosquito no fly zone for as long as it will last. Where do we stand on seeing bluebonnets and humming birds this year? Im 5 th wheel trailer cleaned up .I also just had the ruck worked on. Had to take it to Seagoville .im not having much luck with Paris mechanics. painting in my art studio almost everyday.Wish I had taken art classes in high school 'Did we have them? enough of my jabbering for tonight Sorry about the punctuation,to old to go back and fix.Dan

Comments: FYI which might be To Much Information. Lamar county had 77 active liquor license with 69 of those in Paris. In 1970 you drove 7 miles for booze. Now you drive 7 blocks. Music does not exist today, at least not in my world. Hope all is well.
Comments: Dan, there's a club in Paris with drinking? When I lived there in the 70's you had to drive about 7 miles out of town to buy alcohol! Things have really changed. I do understand the noise level of the music and am surprised you lasted that long.
Comments: Dan, when I first read your message I thought you meant Paris, France, LOL!!! With all of the violence over there and all the shootings in the US - hard to tell which it would be!!! Glad no one was hurt!

Comments: Hi everyone,went to a club in Paris last night. My sons friend was singing . I was designated driver and had a coke. I lasted 3 hours and had to give it up.Our music was so much easier on the ears. my son left 30 minutes later and saw a shoot out,out side .No one was hurt. This ole man will not be going out there again. COLD ,COLD TOMORROW Wish each of you a happy Sunday.One day at a time everyone! Dan

Comments: Ouida will be missed and bless David ; prayers for him and other family members. I last saw them at reunion before last. We stayed up in their room until 3am just talking.
Comments: Ouida Hoyle Rose had a passion for animals and especially rescue animals. She was very much involved with this effort. In lieu of flowers/plants, the family has requested donations to Brazos River Rescue Ranch, P. O. Box 93, Kopperl, TX 76652. Put her name on the check so the family will know of your donation in her honor. Ouida was very dedicated to her class of 63 and was always there to do anything it took to have our fantastic reunions. Like so many others that were dedicated and now in a better place, she will be truly missed but never never forgotten.
Comments: Her everyone I’m still in shock over the sudden loss of my dear friend Ouida Hoyle Rose. I sent many photos to her son, Ken, to select from for a video the funeral home is preparing for her memorial on the 26th. I know some of you are planning to attend even tho it’s not convenient in Cleburne TX. But thank you so much in advance for making the effort. Her son Ken , Grand daughter, Sevannah and her dear friend and companion David Splawn will appreciate it so much. I would love to hear her voice just one more time. She was one of a kind and I’ve loved her since 1951. May she Rest In Peace.
Comments: After 20+ years I finally did it-got my right knee replaced on Monday. It is doing fine and I hope to get outside this afternoon.
Comments: OMG, I can't believe that Ouida has passed away! I am so grateful I was able to see her at our 55th Reunion in October. God Bless Her!
Comments: It is with great sadness I have to inform you our Ouida Hoyle Rose passed away Saturday, January 5 due to congestive heart failure. This is devastating and I am still not believing it possible. Her memorial service will be Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 am at Rosser Funeral Home, 1664 West Henderson, Cleburne, TX 76033. |
